Commentary
آیت 17{ فَمَہِّلِ الْکٰفِرِیْنَ اَمْہِلْہُمْ رُوَیْدًا۔ } ”تو آپ ان کافروں کو ذرا مہلت دے دیجیے ‘ تھوڑی دیر انہیں ان کے حال پر چھوڑ دیجیے !“ ابتدائی مکی دور کی سورتوں میں حضور ﷺ کے لیے یہ ہدایت بہت تکرار کے ساتھ آئی ہے کہ آپ ﷺ ان لوگوں کے لیے جلدی نہ کریں ‘ ان کے بارے میں تھوڑی دیر انتظار کریں : { فَاصْبِرْ کَمَا صَبَرَ اُولُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَّہُمْط } الاحقاف : 35 ”تو اے محمد ﷺ ! آپ بھی صبر کیجیے جیسے اولوالعزم رسول علیہ السلام صبر کرتے رہے ہیں اور ان کے لیے جلدی نہ کیجیے !“ اس دور میں چونکہ مشرکین ِمکہ ّنے اہل ایمان پر عرصہ حیات تنگ کیا ہوا تھا ‘ اس لیے ان آیات کے ذریعے حضور ﷺ کی وساطت سے اہل ایمان کو بھی بار بار تسلی دی جاتی تھی اور سمجھایا جاتا تھا کہ ابھی ہم ان لوگوں کو کچھ مزیدمہلت دینا چاہتے ہیں۔ چناچہ آپ لوگ ان کی طرف سے پہنچنے والی تکالیف پر صبر کرتے ہوئے ہمارے فیصلے کا انتظار کریں۔
