وہ لوگ آپ ﷺ سے جھگڑ رہے تھے حق کے بارے میں اس کے بعد کہ بات (ان پر) بالکل واضح ہوچکی تھی (وہ لوگ ایسے محسوس کر رہے تھے) جیسے انہیں موت کی طرف دھکیلا جا رہا ہو اور وہ اسے دیکھ رہے ہوں۔

Commentary
آیت 6 یُجَادِلُوْنَکَ فِی الْْحَقِّ بَعْدَ مَا تَبَیَّنَ یہ آیت میرے نزدیک دوسری مشاورت کے بارے میں ہے جو مقام صفراء پر منعقد ہوئی تھی۔ نبی اکرم ﷺ مدینہ سے قریش کے تجارتی قافلے کا پیچھا کرنے کے ارادے سے نکلے تھے ‘ اور یہ بظاہر اسی طرح کی ایک مہم تھی جس طرح کی آٹھ مہمات اس علاقے میں پہلے بھی بھیجی جا چکی تھیں۔ اس وقت تک لشکر قریش کے بارے میں نہ کوئی اطلاع تھی اور نہ ہی ایسا کوئی گمان تھا۔ لیکن جب آپ ﷺ مدینہ سے نکل کر صفراء کے مقام پر پہنچے تو آپ ﷺ کو اپنے ذرائع سے بھی لشکر قریش کی مکہ سے روانگی کی اطلاع مل گئی اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے وحی کے ذریعے بھی آپ ﷺ کو اس بارے میں مطلع فرما دیا۔ چناچہ جس طرح حضرت طالوت نے راستے میں اپنے لشکر کی آزمائش کی تھی کہ دریا کو عبور کرتے ہوئے جو شخص سیر ہو کر پانی پیے گا اس کا مجھ سے کوئی تعلق نہیں رہے گا اور اس طرح مخلص ساتھیوں کا خلوص ظاہر ہوگیا ‘ اسی طرح آپ ﷺ نے بھی اللہ کے حکم سے سارا معاملہ مسلمانوں کے سامنے مشاورت کے لیے رکھ دیا اور ان کو واضح طور پر بتادیا کہ مکہ سے ابوجہل ایک ہزار جنگجوؤں پر مشتمل لشکر جرار لے کر روانہ ہوچکا ہے۔کَاَنَّمَا یُسَاقُوْنَ اِلَی الْمَوْتِ وَہُمْ یَنْظُرُوْنَ ظاہر بات ہے یہ کیفیت تو پکے منافقین ہی کی ہوسکتی تھی۔
