  1. قُلْکہہ دیجیے

  5. یَّنْتَهُوْاوہ باز آجائیں
  6. یُغْفَرْبخش دیا جائے گا
  7. لَهُمْان کے لیے
  8. مَّاجو
  9. قَدْتحقیق
  10. سَلَفَ ۚپہلے ہوگیا
  11. وَاِنْاور اگر
  12. یَّعُوْدُوْاوہ پلٹیں گے
  13. فَقَدْتو تحقیق
  14. مَضَتْگزر چکی ہے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اے نبیؐ، ان کافروں سے کہو کہ اگر اب بھی باز آ جائیں تو جو کچھ پہلے ہو چکا ہے اس سے درگزر کر لیا جائے گا، لیکن اگر یہ اسی پچھلی روش کا اعادہ کریں گے تو گزشتہ قوموں کے ساتھ جو کچھ ہو چکا ہے وہ سب کو معلوم ہے

Bayan-ul-Quran

(اے محمد ﷺ !) آپ اعلان کردیجیے ان کافروں کے سامنے کہ اگر وہ اب بھی باز آجائیں تو جو کچھ پہلے ہوچکا ہے وہ ان کے لیے معاف کردیا جائے گا اور اگر وہ دوبارہ یہی کچھ کریں گے تو پچھلوں کے حق میں سنت الٰہی گزر چکی ہے

Commentary

آیت 38 قُلْ لِّلَّذِیْنَ کَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ یَّنْتَہُوْا یُغْفَرْ لَہُمْ مَّا قَدْ سَلَفََ ج۔یعنی اب بھی موقع ہے کہ ایمان لے آؤ تو تمہاری پہلی تمام خطائیں معاف کردی جائیں گی۔وَاِنْ یَّعُوْدُوْا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ ۔انہیں سب معلوم ہے کہ جن قوموں نے اپنے رسولوں کا انکار کیا تھا ان کا کیا انجام ہو اتھا۔ سورة الانفال سے پہلے مکی قرآن تو پورے کا پورا نازل ہوچکا تھا ‘ سورة الانعام اور سورة الاعراف بھی نازل ہوچکی تھیں۔ لہٰذا قوم نوح علیہ السلام ‘ قوم ہود علیہ السلام ‘ قوم صالح علیہ السلام ‘ قوم شعیب علیہ السلام اور قوم لوط علیہ السلام کے عبرتناک انجام کی تفصیلات سب کو معلوم ہوچکی تھیں۔
