Surah 8, ayah 26

  1. وَاذْكُرُوْۤااور یاد کرو
  2. اِذْجب
  3. اَنْتُمْتم
  4. قَلِیْلٌتھوڑے تھے
  5. مُّسْتَضْعَفُوْنَکمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے
  6. فِیمیں
  7. الْاَرْضِزمین
  8. تَخَافُوْنَتم ڈرتے تھے
  9. اَنْکہ
  10. یَّتَخَطَّفَكُمُاچانک لیں گے تم کو
  11. النَّاسُلوگ
  12. فَاٰوٰىكُمْپھر اس نے جائے پناہ دی تم کو
  13. وَاَیَّدَكُمْاور تائید کی تمہاری
  14. بِنَصْرِهٖساتھ اپنی مدد کے
  15. وَرَزَقَكُمْاور رزق دیا تم کو
  16. مِّنَمیں سے
  17. الطَّیِّبٰتِپاکیزہ چیزوں
  18. لَعَلَّكُمْتاکہ تم
  19. تَشْكُرُوْنَتم شکر ادا کرو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

یاد کرو وہ وقت جبکہ تم تھوڑے تھے، زمین میں تم کو بے زور سمجھا جاتا تھا، تم ڈرتے رہتے تھے کہ کہیں لوگ تمہیں مِٹا نہ دیں۔ پھر اللہ نے تم کو جائے پناہ مہیا کر دی، اپنی مدد سے تمہارے ہاتھ مضبوط کیے اور تمہیں اچھا رزق پہنچایا ، شاید کہ تم شکر گزار بنو۔1

  1. یہاں شکر گزاری کا لفظ غور کے قابل ہے ۔ اوپر کے سلسلہ تقریر کو نظر میں رکھا جائے تو صاف ظاہر ہو جاتا ہے کہ اس موقع پر شکر گزاری کا مفہوم صرف اتنا ہی  نہیں ہے کہ لوگ اللہ کے اس احسان کو مانیں کہ اس نے ا س کمزوری کی حالت سے انہیں نکا لا اور مکہ کی پر خطر زندگی سے بچا کر امن کی جگہ لے آیا جہاں طیبات رزق میسر ہو رہے ہیں، بلکہ اس کے ساتھ یہ بات بھی اسی شکر گزاری کےمفہوم میں داخل ہے کہ مسلمان اُس خدا کی اور اُس کے رسول کی اطاعت کریں جس نے یہ احسانات ان پر کیے ہیں، اور رسول کے مشن میں اخلاص و جاں نثاری کے ساتھ کام کریں، اور اس کام میں جو خطرات و مہالک اور مصائب پیش آئیں ان کا مردانہ وار مقابلہ اُسی خدا کے بھروسے پر کرتے چلے جائیں جس نے اس سے پہلے ان کو خطرات  سے بعافیت نکالا ہے، اور یقین رکھیں کہ جب وہ خدا کا کام اخلاص کے ساتھ کریں گے تو خدا ضرور ان کا وکیل و کفیل ہوگا۔ پس شکر گزاری محض اعترافی نوعیت ہی کی مطلوب نہیں ہے بلکہ عملی نوعیت کی بھی مطلوب ہے۔ احسان کا اعتراف کرنے کے باوجود محسن کی رضا جوئی کے لیے سعی نہ کرنا اور اس کی خدمت میں مخلص نہ ہونا اور اس کے بارے میں یہ شک رکھنا  کہ نہ معلوم آئندہ بھی وہ احسان کریگا یا نہیں، ہر گز شکر گزاری نہیں ہے بلکہ اُلٹی نا شکری ہے۔

اور یاد کرو جبکہ تم تھوڑی تعداد میں تھے اور زمین میں دبا لیے گئے تھے تمہیں اندیشہ تھا کہ لوگ تمہیں اچک لے جائیں گے تو اللہ نے تمہیں پناہ کی جگہ دے دی اور تمہاری مدد کی اپنی خاص نصرت سے اور تمہیں بہترین پاکیزہ رزق عطا کیا تاکہ تم شکر ادا کرو

Commentary

آیت 26 وَاذْکُرُوْٓا اِذْ اَنْتُمْ قَلِیْلٌ مُّسْتَضْعَفُوْنَ فِی الْاَرْضِ تَخَافُوْنَ اَنْ یَّتَخَطَّفَکُمُ النَّاسُ یہ آیت خاص طور پر مسلمانان پاکستان پر بھی منطبق ہوتی ہے۔ برصغیر میں مسلمان اقلیت میں تھے ‘ ہندوؤں کی اکثریت کے مقابلے میں انہیں خوف تھا کہ وہ اپنے حقوق کا تحفظ کرنے میں کمزور ہیں۔ اپنے جان و مال کو درپیش خطرات کے علاوہ انہیں یہ اندیشہ بھی تھا کہ اکثریت کے ہاتھوں ان کا معاشی ‘ سماجی ‘ سیاسی ‘ لسانی ‘ مذہبی وغیرہ ہر اعتبار سے استحاصل ہوگا۔
