Surah 8, ayah 23

  1. وَلَوْاور اگر
  2. عَلِمَجان لیا ہوتا
  3. اللّٰهُاللہ نے
  4. فِیْهِمْان میں
  5. خَیْرًابھلائی کو
  6. لَّاَسْمَعَهُمْ ؕالبتہ ضرور سنوا دیتا ان کو
  7. وَلَوْاور اگر
  8. اَسْمَعَهُمْوہ سنوا دیتا ان کو
  9. لَتَوَلَّوْایقینا وہ منہ پھیر جائے
  10. وَّهُمْاور وہ
  11. مُّعْرِضُوْنَہیں ہی منہ پھیرنے والے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اگر اللہ کو معلوم ہوتا کہ ان میں کچھ بھی بھلائی ہے تو وہ ضرور اُنہیں سُننے کی توفیق دیتا ( لیکن بھلائی کے بغیر) اگر وہ اُن کو سُنواتا تو وہ بے رُخی کے ساتھ منہ پھیر جاتے۔1

  1. یعنی جب ان لوگوں کے اندر خود حق پرستی اور حق کے لیے کام کرنے کا جذبہ نہیں ہے تو انہیں اگر تعمیل حکم میں جنگ کے لیے نکل آنے کی توفیق دے بھی دی جاتی  تو یہ خطرے کا موقع دیکھتے ہی بے تکلف بھاگ نکلتے اور ان کی معیت تمہارے لیے مفید ثابت ہونے کے بجائے الٹی مضر ثابت ہوتی۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور اگر اللہ کے علم میں ہوتا کہ ان میں کوئی خیر ہے تو وہ انہیں سنوا دیتا اور اگر وہ انہیں (بھلائی کے بغیر) سنوا بھی دیتا تو وہ اعراض کرتے ہوئے پیٹھ پھیر جاتے۔

Commentary

آیت 23 وَلَوْ عَلِمَ اللّٰہُ فِیْہِمْ خَیْرًا لَّاَسْمَعَہُمْ ط وَلَوْ اَسْمَعَہُمْ لَتَوَلَّوْا وَّہُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ ان لوگوں کے اندر کوئی صلاحیت پاتا تو ان کو سننے اور سمجھنے کی توفیق دے دیتا ‘ لیکن اگر انہیں بغیر صلاحیت کے تعمیل حکم میں جنگ کے لیے نکل آنے کی توفیق دے بھی دی جاتی تو یہ خطرے کا موقع دیکھتے ہی پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ کھڑے ہوتے۔ یہ خاص طور پر ان لوگوں کے لیے تنبیہہ ہے جو کفار کے لشکر کا سامنا کرنے میں پس و پیش کر رہے تھے۔
