اس کی تفصیل دوسرے مقامات پر قرآن مجید میں یہ بیان کی گئی ہے کہ اس نے تمام مصر سے ماہر جادوگروں کو بلوایا اور ایک مجمع عام میں ان سے لاٹھیوں اور رسیّوں کے اژدہے بنوا کر دکھائے تا کہ لوگوں کو یقین آجائے کہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام کوئی نبی نہیں بلکہ ایک جادوگر ہیں، اور لاٹھی کا اژدہا بنانے کو جو کرشمہ انہوں نے دکھایا ہے وہ دوسرے جادوگر بھی دکھا سکتے ہیں۔ لیکن اس کی یہ چال اُلٹی پڑی اور جادوگروں نے شکست کھا کر خود تسلیم کر لیا کہ موسٰی علیہ السلام نے جو کچھ دکھا یا ہے وہ جادو نہیں بلکہ معجزہ ہے۔
