Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
وہ مشرق و مغرب کا مالک ہے، اُس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے، لہٰذا اُسی کو اپنا وکیل بنا لو۔1

وکیل اُس شخص کو کہتے ہیں جس پر اعتماد کر کے کوئی شخص اپنا معاملہ اُس کے سُپرد کر دے۔ قریب قریب اِسی معنی میں ہم اُردو زبان میں وکیل کا لفظ اُس شخص کے لیے استعمال کرتے ہیں جس کے حوالہ اپنا مقدمہ کر کے ایک آدمی مطمئن ہو جاتا ہے کہ اس کی طرف سے وہ اچھی طرح مقدمہ لڑلے گا اور اسے خود اپنا مقدمہ لڑنے کی حاجت نہ رہے گی۔ پس آیت کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اِس دین کی دعوت پیش کر نے پر تمہارے خلاف مخالفتوں کا جو طوفان اُٹھ کھڑا ہوا ہے اور جو مشکلات تمہیں پیش آرہی ہیں اُن پر کوئی پریشانی تم کو لاحق نہ ہونی چاہیے۔ تمہارا رب وہ ہے جو مشرق و مغرب، یعنی ساری کائنات کا مالک ہے ، جس کے سوا خدائی کے اختیارات کسی کے ہاتھ میں نہیں ہیں۔ تم اپنا معاملہ اُسی کے حوالے کر دو اورمطمئن ہوجا ؤ کہ اب تمہارا مقدمہ وہ لڑے گا ، تمہارے مخالفین سے وہ نمٹے گا اور تمہارے سارے کام وہ بنائے گا۔
