Surah 7, ayah 5

  1. فَمَاتو نہ
  2. كَانَتھی
  3. دَعْوٰىهُمْپکارا ان کی
  4. اِذْجب
  5. جَآءَهُمْآیا ان کے پاس
  6. بَاْسُنَاۤہمارا عذاب
  7. اِلَّاۤمگر
  8. اَنْیہی کہ
  9. قَالُوْۤاانہوں نے کہا
  10. اِنَّابیشک ہم
  11. كُنَّاواقعی تھے ہم
  12. ظٰلِمِیْنَظالم

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور جب ہمارا عذاب اُن پر آگیا تو ان کی زبان پر اِس کے سوا کوئی صدا نہ تھی کہ واقعی ہم ظالم تھے۔1

  1. یعنی تمہاری عبرت کے لیے اُن قوموں کی مثالیں موجود ہیں جو خدا کی ہدایت سے منحرف ہو کر انسانوں اور شیطانوں کی رہنمائی پر چلیں اور آخر کار اس قدر بگڑیں کہ زمین پر ان کا وجود ایک ناقابلِ برداشت لعنت بن گیا اور خدا کے عذاب نے آکر اُن کی نجاست سے دنیا کو پاک کر دیا۔                 آخری فقرے سے مقصد دو باتوں پر متنبہ کرنا ہے۔ ایک یہ کہ تلافی کا وقت گزر جانے کے بعد کسی کا ہوش میں نہ آنا اور اپنی غلطی کا اعتراف کرنا بے کار ہے۔ سخت نادان ہے وہ شخص اور وہ قوم جوخدا کی دی ہوئی مہلت کو غفلتوں اور سر شاریوں میں ضائع کردے اور داعیانِ حق کی صداؤں کو بہرے کانوں سے سُنے جائے او ر ہوش میں صرف اس وقت آئے جب اللہ کی  گرفت کا مضبوط ہاتھ اس  پرپڑ چکا ہو۔ دوسرے یہ کہ افراد کی زندگیوں میں بھی اور اقوام کی زندگیوں میں بھی  ایک دو نہیں بے شمار مثالیں تمہارے سامنے گزر چکی ہیں کہ جب کسی کی غلط کاریوں کا پیمانہ لبریز ہو چکتا ہے اور وہ اپنی مہلت کی حد کو پہنچ جاتا ہے تو پھر خداکی  گرفت اچانک اسے آپکڑتی ہے، اور ایک مرتبہ  پکڑ میں آجانے کے بعد چھٹکارے  کی کوئی سبیل اسے نہیں ملتی۔ پھر جب تاریخ کے دوران میں ایک دو دفعہ نہیں سینکڑوں اور ہزاروںمرتبہ یہی کچھ ہو چکا ہے تو آخر  کیا ضرور ہے کہ انسان  اسی غلطی کا بار بار اعادہ کیے چلا جائے اور ہوش میں آنے کے لیے اُسی  آخری ساعت کا انتظار کرتا رہے جب ہوش میں آنے کا کوئی  فائدہ حسرت و اندوہ کے سوا نہیں ہوتا۔

تو پھر ان کی پکار اس کے سوا کچھ نہیں تھی جب ان پر ہمارا عذاب آپڑا کہ (ہائے ہماری شامت) بیشک ہم ہی ظالم تھے

Commentary

آیت 5 فَمَا کَانَ دَعْوٰٹہُمْ اِذْ جَآءَ ہُمْ بَاْسُنَآ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّا کُنَّا ظٰلِمِیْنَ واقعتا ہمارے رسولوں نے تو ہماری آنکھیں کھولنے کی پوری کوشش کی تھی مگر ہم نے ہی اپنی جانوں پر زیادتی کی جو ان کی دعوت کو نہ مانا۔
