- وَبَیْنَهُمَااور ان دونوں کے درمیان
- حِجَابٌ ۚایک آڑ ہوگی / ایک دیوار ہوگی
- وَعَلَیاور پر
- الْاَعْرَافِاعراف (پر)
- رِجَالٌکچھ لوگ ہوں گے
- یَّعْرِفُوْنَوہ پہچانتے ہوں گے
- كُلًّاہر ایک کو
- بِسِیْمٰىهُمْ ۚان کے چہرے سے/ ان کی علامت سے
- وَنَادَوْااور وہ پکاریں گے
- اَصْحٰبَوالوں کو
- الْجَنَّةِجنت والوں کو
- اَنْکہ
- سَلٰمٌسلام ہو
- عَلَیْكُمْ ۫تم پر
- لَمْنہیں
- یَدْخُلُوْهَاوہ داخل ہوئے ہوں گے اس میں
- وَهُمْاور وہ
- یَطْمَعُوْنَامید رکھتے ہوں گے

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
ان دونوں گروہوں کے درمیان ایک اوٹ حائل ہوگی جس کی بلندیوں (اَعراف) پر کچھ اور لوگ ہوں گے۔ یہ ہر ایک کو اس کے قیافہ سے پہچانیں گے اور جنّت والوں سے پکار کر کہیں گے کہ ”سلامتی ہو تم پر“ یہ لوگ جنّت میں داخل تو نہیں ہوئے مگر اس کے امیدوار ہوں گے۔1

یعنی یہ اصحاب الاعراف وہ لوگ ہوں گے جن کی زندگی کا نہ تو مثبت پہلو ہی اتنا قوی ہوگا کہ جنت میں داخل ہو سکیں اور نہ منفی پہلو ہی اتنا خراب ہوگا کہ دوزخ میں جھونک دیے جائیں۔ اس لیے وہ جنت اور دوزخ کے درمیان ایک سرحد پر رہیں گے۔
