- وَاِذَااور جب
- فَعَلُوْاوہ کرتے ہیں
- فَاحِشَةًکوئی بےحیائی کا کام
- قَالُوْاکہتے ہیں
- وَجَدْنَاپایا ہم نے
- عَلَیْهَاۤاس پر
- اٰبَآءَنَااپنے آباؤ اجداد کو
- وَاللّٰهُاور اللہ نے
- اَمَرَنَاحکم دیا ہم کو
- بِهَا ؕاس کا
- قُلْکہہ دیجئے
- اِنَّبیشک
- اللّٰهَاللہ تعالیٰ
- لَانہیں
- یَاْمُرُحکم دیتا
- بِالْفَحْشَآءِ ؕبےحیائی کا
- اَتَقُوْلُوْنَکیا تم کہتے ہو
- عَلَیپر
- اللّٰهِاللہ پر
- مَاوہ جو
- لَانہیں
- تَعْلَمُوْنَتم جانتے

Translation and commentary
Bayan-ul-Quran
اور جب یہ لوگ کوئی بےحیائی کا کام کرتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے پایا ہے یہی کچھ کرتے ہوئے اپنے آباء و اَجداد کو اور اللہ نے ہمیں اس کا حکم دیا ہے (اے نبی ﷺ ! ان سے) کہہ دیجیے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ بےحیائی کا حکم نہیں دیتا تو کیا تم اللہ کی طرف منسوب کر رہے ہو وہ کچھ جس کا تمہیں کوئی علم نہیں

Commentary
آیت 28 وَاِذَا فَعَلُوْا فَاحِشَۃً قَالُوْا وَجَدْنَا عَلَیْہَآ اٰبَآءَ نَا وَاللّٰہُ اَمَرَنَا بِہَا ط۔ یہ لوگ جب ننگے ہو کر خانہ کعبہ کا طواف کرتے تو اس شرمناک فعل کا جواز پیش کرتے ہوئے کہتے کہ ہم نے اپنے آباء و اَجداد کو ایسے ہی کرتے دیکھا ہے اور یقیناً اللہ ہی نے اس کا حکم دیا ہوگا۔ یہ گویا ان کے نزدیک ایک ٹھوس ‘ قرائنی شہادت circumstantial evidence تھی کہ جب ایک ریت اور رسم چلی آرہی ہے تو یقیناً یہ سب کچھ اللہ کی مرضی اور اس کے حکم کے مطابق ہی ہو رہا ہوگا۔
