Commentary
آیت 204 وَاِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْاٰنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوْا لَہٗ وَاَنْصِتُوْا لَعَلَّکُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ سَمِعَ ‘ یَسْمَعُ کے معنی ہیں سننا ‘ جبکہ اِسْتِمَاع کے معنی ہیں پوری توجہ کے ساتھ سننا ‘ کان لگا کر سننا۔ جو حضرات جہری نمازوں میں امام کے پیچھے قراءت نہ کرنے کے قائل ہیں وہ اسی آیت کو بطور دلیل پیش کرتے ہیں ‘ کیونکہ اس آیت کی رو سے تلاوت قرآن کو پوری طرح ارتکاز توجہ کے ساتھ سننا فرض ہے اور ساتھ ہی خاموش رہنے کا حکم بھی ہے۔ جبکہ نماز کے دوران خود تلاوت کرنے کی صورت میں سننے کی طرف توجہ نہیں رہے گی اور خاموش رہنے کے حکم پر بھی عمل نہیں ہوگا۔
