Surah 7, ayah 203

  1. وَاِذَااور جب
  2. لَمْنہیں
  3. تَاْتِهِمْلائے تم ان کے پاس
  4. بِاٰیَةٍکوئی نشانی
  5. قَالُوْاکہتے ہیں
  6. لَوْلَاکیوں نہ
  7. اجْتَبَیْتَهَا ؕتو نے چن لیا اس کو
  8. قُلْکہہ دیجیے
  9. اِنَّمَاۤبیشک
  10. اَتَّبِعُمیری پیروی کرتا ہوں
  11. مَااس کی جو
  12. یُوْحٰۤیوحی کیا جاتا ہے
  13. اِلَیَّمیری طرف
  14. مِنْطرف سے
  15. رَّبِّیْ ۚمیرے رب کی
  16. هٰذَایہ
  17. بَصَآىِٕرُکھلی دلیلیں ہیں
  18. مِنْطرف سے
  19. رَّبِّكُمْتمہارے رب کی
  20. وَهُدًیاور ہدایت
  21. وَّرَحْمَةٌاور رحمت
  22. لِّقَوْمٍایک قوم کے لیے
  23. یُّؤْمِنُوْنَجو ایمان لاتی ہو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اے نبی، جب تم ان لوگوں کے سامنے کوئی نشانی (یعنی معجزہ) پیش نہیں کرتے تو یہ کہتے ہیں کہ تم نے اپنے لیے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہ انتخاب کر لی؟1 اِن سےکہو”میں تو صرف اُس وحی کی پیروی کرتا ہوں جو میرے ربّ نےمیری طرف بھیجی ہے۔ یہ بصیر ت کی روشنیاں ہیں تمہارے ربّ کی طرف سے اور ہدایت اور رحمت ہے اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو اسے قبول کریں۔2

  1. کفار کےاس سوال میں  ایک صریح طعن کا انداز پایا جاتا تھا۔ یعنی ان کے کہنے کا مطلب یہ تھا کہ میاں جس طرح تم نبی بن بیٹھے ہو اسی طرح کوئی معجزہ بھی چھانٹ کر اپنے لیے بنا لائے ہوتے۔ لیکن آگے ملاحظہ ہو کہ اس طعن کا جواب کس شان سے دیا جاتا ہے۔

  2.  یعنی میرا منصب یہ نہیں ہے کہ جس چیز کی مانگ ہو یا جس کی میں خود ضرورت محسوس کروں اسے خود ایجاد یا تصنیف کر کے پیش کردوں۔ میں تو ایک رسول ہوں اور میرا منصب صرف یہ ہے کہ جس نے مجھے بھیجا ہے اس کی ہدایت پر عمل کروں۔ معجزے کے بجائے میرے بھیجنے والے نے جو چیز میرے پاس بھیجی ہے وہ یہ قرآن ہے ۔ اس کے اندر بصیرت افروز روشنیاں موجود ہیں اور اس کی نمایاں ترین خوبی یہ ہے کہ جو لوگ اس کو مان لیتے ہیں ان کو زندگی کا سیدھا راستہ مل جاتا ہے اوران کے اخلاقِ حسنہ میں رحمت ِ الہٰی کے آثار صاف ہو یدا ہونے لگتے ہیں۔
