- وَاِذْاور جب
- قَالَتْکہا
- اُمَّةٌایک جماعت نے
- مِّنْهُمْان میں سے
- لِمَکیوں
- تَعِظُوْنَتم نصیحت کرتے ہو
- قَوْمَا ۙایک گروہ کو
- للّٰهُاللہ
- مُهْلِكُهُمْہلاک کرنے والا ہے ان کو
- اَوْیا
- مُعَذِّبُهُمْعذاب دینے والا ہے ان کو
- عَذَابًاعذاب
- شَدِیْدًا ؕسخت

- رَبِّكُمْتمہارے رب کی

اور انہیں یہ بھی یاد لاؤ کہ جب اُن میں سے ایک گروہ نے دوسرے گروہ سے کہا تھا کہ "تم ایسے لوگوں کو کیوں نصیحت کرتے ہو جنہیں اللہ ہلاک کرنے والا یا سخت سزا دینے والا ہے " تو انہوں نے جواب دیا تھا کہ "ہم یہ سب کچھ تمہارے رب کے حضور اپنی معذرت پیش کرنے کے لیے کرتے ہیں اور اس امید پر کرتے ہیں کہ شاید یہ لوگ اس کی نافرمانی سے پرہیز کرنے لگیں"

اور جب کہا ایک گروہ نے ان میں سے کہ کیوں نصیحت کر رہے ہو ان لوگوں کو جنہیں یا تو اللہ ہلاک کرنے والا ہے یا پھر انہیں عذاب دینے والا ہے بہت سخت عذاب انہوں نے کہا کہ تمہارے رب کے ہاں معذرت پیش کرنے کے لیے اور شاید کہ وہ تقویٰ اختیار کر ہی لیں

Commentary (one passage for ayahs 7:164, 7:165)
آیت 164 وَاِذْ قَالَتْ اُمَّۃٌ مِّنْہُمْ لِمَ تَعِظُوْنَ قَوْمَا نِ لا اللّٰہُ مُہْلِکُہُمْ اَوْ مُعَذِّبُہُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِیْدًا ط دوسرے گروہ کے لوگ تیسرے گروہ کے لوگوں سے کہتے کہ تم خواہ مخواہ اپنے آپ کو ان مجرموں کے لیے ہلکان کر رہے ہو۔ اب یہ لوگ ماننے والے نہیں۔ اللہ کا عذاب اور تباہی ان کا مقدر بن چکی ہے۔قَالُوْا مَعْذِرَۃً اِلٰی رَبِّکُمْ تیسرے گروہ کے لوگ جواب دیتے کہ اس طرح ہم اللہ کے سامنے عذر پیش کرسکیں گے کہ اے پروردگار ! ہم آخری وقت تک نافرمان لوگوں کو ان کی غلط حرکتوں سے باز رہنے کی ہدایت کرتے ہوئے ‘ نہی عن المنکر کا فرض ادا کرتے رہے۔ ہم نہ صرف خود اس گناہ سے بچے رہے بلکہ ان ظالموں کو خبردار بھی کرتے رہے کہ وہ اللہ کے قانون کے سلسلے میں حد سے تجاوز نہ کریں۔وَلَعَلَّہُمْ یَتَّقُوْنَ ۔ پھر اس بات کا امکان بھی بہرحال موجود ہے کہ ہماری نصیحت ان پر اثر کرے اور اس طرح سمجھانے بجھانے سے کسی نہ کسی کے دل کے اندر خدا خوفی کا جذبہ پیدا ہو ہی جائے۔ جیسا کہ حضور اکرم ﷺ نے حضرت علی رض سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے فرمایا تھا : لَاَنْ یَھْدِیَ اللّٰہُ بِکَ رَجُلاً وَاحِدًا خَیْرٌ لَکَ مِنْ اَنْ یَکُوْنَ لَکَ حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ 1 اے علی رض اگر اللہ تمہارے ذریعے سے ایک شخص کو بھی ہدایت دے دے تو یہ دولت تمہارے لیے سرخ اونٹوں سے بڑھ کر ہے۔
