ہم ان میں سے اکثر میں کوئی پاس ِ عہد نہ پایا بلکہ اکثر کو فاسق ہی پایا۔1

”کوئی پاس ِ عہد نہ پایا“ یعنی کسی قسم کے عہد کا پاس بھی نہ پایا ، نہ اُس فطری عہد کا پاس جس میں پیدائشی طور پر ہر انسان خدا کا بندہ اور پروردہ ہونے کی حیثیّت سے بندھا ہوا ہے، نہ اُس اجتماعی عہد کا پاس جس میں ہر فرد بشر انسانی برادری کا ایک رکن ہونے کی حیثیّت سے بندھا ہوا ہے، اور نہ اُس ذاتی عہد کا پاس جو آدمی اپنی مصیبت اور پرشانی کے لمحوں میں یا کسی جذبہ خیر کے موقع پر خدا سے بطور خود باندھا کرتا ہے۔ انہی تینوں عہدوں کے توڑنے کو یہاں فسق قرار دیا گیاہے۔
