  1. وَاَمَّااور رہا
  2. مَنْوہ جو کوئی
  3. اُوْتِیَدیا گیا
  4. كِتٰبَهٗکتاب اپنی
  5. بِشِمَالِهٖ ۙ۬اپنے بائیں ہاتھ میں
  6. فَیَقُوْلُتو وہ کہے گا
  7. یٰلَیْتَنِیْاے کاش کہ میں
  8. لَمْنہ
  9. اُوْتَدیا جاتا
  10. كِتٰبِیَهْاپنا نامہ اعمال۔ اپنی کتاب

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور جس کا نامہٴ اعمال  اُس کے بائیں ہاتھ میں دیا جائے گا1 وہ کہے گا”کاش میرا اعمال نامہ مجھے نہ دیا گیا ہوتا2

  1. سورہ انشقاق میں فرمایا گیا ہے ”اور جس کا نامہ اعمال اس کی پیٹھ کے پیچھے دیا جائے گا“۔غالباً اس کی صورت یہ ہوگی کہ مجرم کو چونکہ پہلے ہی سے اپنے مجرم ہونے کا علم ہو گا اور وہ جانتا ہو گا کہ اس نامہ اعمال میں اس کا کیا کچھا چٹھا در ج ہے، اس لیے وہ نہایت بددلی کے ساتھ اپنا بایاں ہاتھ بڑھا کر اُسے لے گا اور فوراً پیٹھ کے پیچھے چھپا لے گا تا کہ کوئی دیکھنے نہ پائے۔

  2. یعنی مجھے یہ نامہ اعمال دے کر میدان ِ حشر میں علانیہ سب کے سامنے ذلیل و رسوا نہ کیا جاتا اور جو سزا بھی دینی تھی دے ڈالی جاتی۔
