Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جب پانی کا طوفان حد سے گزر گیا1 تو ہم نے تم کو کشتی میں سوار کر دیا تھا2

  1. اشارہ ہے طوفانِ نوح کی طرف جس میں ایک پوری قوم اسی خطائے عظیم کی بنا پر غرق کر دکی گئی اور صرف وہ لوگ بچا لیے گئے جنہوں نے اللہ کے رسول کی بات مان لی تھی۔

  2. اگرچہ کشتی میں سوار وہ لوگ کیے گئے تھے جو ہزاروں برس پہلے گزر چکے تھے، لیکن چونکہ بعد کی پوری انسانی نسل اُنہی لوگوں کی اولا دہے جو اُس وقت طوفان سے بچائے گئے تھے، اس لیے فرمایا کہ ہم نے تم کو کشتی میں سوار کر ادیا۔ مطلب یہ ہے کہ تم آج دنیا میں اسی لیے موجود ہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اُس طوفان میں صرف مُنکر ین کو غرق کیا تھا اور ایمان لانے والوں کو بچا لیا تھا۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

جب (سیلابِ نوح ؑ کا) پانی طغیانی پر آیا تھا تو ہم نے تمہیں سوار کرا لیا تھا کشتی پر۔

Commentary

آیت 1 1 { اِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا الْمَآئُ حَمَلْنٰـکُمْ فِی الْْجَارِیَۃِ۔ } ”جب سیلابِ نوح علیہ السلام کا پانی طغیانی پر آیا تھا تو ہم نے تمہیں سوار کرا لیا تھا کشتی پر۔“ اس سیلاب کے بعد نوع انسانی کی نسل حضرت نوح علیہ السلام کے انہی تین بیٹوں سے چلی جو اس کشتی میں سوار تھے ‘ اس لیے آیت کے اسلوب سے یہ تاثر ملتا ہے جیسے پوری نوع انسانی کشتی میں سوار تھی۔
