اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، میں بتاؤں تم کو وہ تجارت1 جو تمہیں عذابِ الیم سے بچا دے؟

تجارت وہ چیز ہے جس میں آدمی اپنا مال، وقت، محنت اور ذہانت و قابلیت اس لیے کھپاتا ہے کہ اس سے نفع حاصل ہو۔ اسی رعایت سے یہاں ایمان اور جہاد فی سبیل اللہ کو تجارت کہا گیا ہے ۔ مطلب یہ ہے کہ اس راہ میں اپنا سب کچھ کھپاؤ گے تو وہ نفع تمہیں حاصل ہو گا جو آگے بیان کیا جا رہا ہے ۔ یہی مضمون سورہ توبہ آیت 111 میں ایک اور طریقہ سے بیان کیا گیا ہے (ملاحظہ ہو، تفہیم القرآن، جلد دوم، التوبہ، حاشیہ 106 )۔
