  1. یٰۤاَیُّهَااے
  2. الَّذِیْنَلوگو
  3. اٰمَنُوْاجو ایمان لائے ہو
  4. لَانہ
  5. تَتَوَلَّوْاتم دوست بناؤ
  6. قَوْمًاایسی قوم کو
  7. غَضِبَناراض ہو
  8. اللّٰهُاللہ
  9. عَلَیْهِمْجن پر
  10. قَدْتحقیق
  11. یَىِٕسُوْاوہ مایوس ہوگئے
  12. مِنَسے
  13. الْاٰخِرَةِآخرت سے
  14. كَمَاجیسا کہ
  15. یَىِٕسَمایوس ہوئے
  16. الْكُفَّارُکافر
  17. مِنْسے
  18. اَصْحٰبِوالوں سے
  19. الْقُبُوْرِقبروں (والوں سے)

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو ، اُن لوگوں کو دوست نہ بناؤ جن پر اللہ نے غضب فرمایا ہے، جو آخرت سے اسی طرح مایوس ہیں جس طرح قبروں میں پڑے ہوئے کافر مایوس ہیں۔1

  1. اصل الفاظ ہیں قَدْ یَئِسُوْ ا من الْاٰخِرَۃِ کَمَا یَئِسَ الْکُفَّارُ مِنْ اَصْحَابِ الْقُبُوْرِ۔ اس کے دو معنی ہو سکتے ہیں۔ ایک یہ کہ وہ آخرت کی بھلائی اور اس کے ثواب سے اسی طرح مایوس ہیں جس طرح زندگی بعد موت سے انکار کرنے والے اس بات سے مایوس ہیں کہ ان کے جو عزیز رشتہ دار قبروں میں جا چکے ہیں وہ کبھی پھر زندہ کر کے اٹھائے جائیں گے۔ یہ معنی حضرت عبداللہ بن عباسؓ، اور حضرات حس بصری، قتادہ اور ضحاک رحمہم اللہ نے بیان کیے ہیں۔ دوسرے معنی یہ ہو سکتے ہیں کہ وہ آخرت کی رحمت و مغفرت سے اسی طرح مایوس ہیں جس طرح قبروں میں پڑے ہوئے کافر ہر خیر سے مایوس ہیں، کیونکہ انہیں اپنے مبتلائے عذاب ہونے کا یقین ہو چکا ہے۔ یہ معنی حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعودؓ، اورت حضرات مجاہد، عِکْرِمہ، ابن زید، کلبی، مقاتل اور منصور رحمہم اللہ سے منقول ہیں۔
