  1. وَحَآجَّهٗاور جھگڑا کیا اس سے
  2. قَوْمُهٗ ؕاس کی قوم نے
  3. قَالَکہا
  4. اَتُحَآجُّوْٓنِّیْکیا تم جھگڑے ہو مجھ سے
  5. فِیمیں
  6. اللّٰهِاللہ کے بارے
  7. وَقَدْحالانکہ تحقیق
  8. هَدٰىنِ ؕاس نے ہدایت دی مجھ کو
  9. وَلَاۤاور نہیں
  10. اَخَافُمیں ڈرتا
  11. مَاجو
  12. تُشْرِكُوْنَتم شریک ٹھہراتے ہو
  13. بِهٖۤساتھ اس کے
  14. اِلَّاۤمگر
  15. اَنْکہ
  16. یَّشَآءَچاہیے
  17. رَبِّیْمیرا رب
  18. شَیْـًٔا ؕکوئی چیز
  19. وَسِعَوسعت والا ہے۔ اچھا یا برا ہے
  20. رَبِّیْمیرا رب
  21. كُلَّہر
  22. شَیْءٍچیز پر
  23. عِلْمًا ؕعلم کے اعتبار سے
  24. اَفَلَاکیا بھلا تم
  25. تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَنصیحت نہیں پکڑتے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اس کی قوم اس سے جھگڑنے لگی تو اس نے قوم سے کہا ”کیا تم لوگ اللہ کے معاملے میں مجھ سے جھگڑتے ہو؟ حالانکہ اس نے مجھے راہِ راست دکھادی ہے۔ اور میں تمہارے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں سے نہیں ڈرتا، ہاں اگر میرا رب کچھ چاہے تو وہ ضرور ہوسکتا ہے۔ میرے رب کا عِلم ہر چیز پر چھایا ہوٴا ہے، پھر کیا تم ہوش میں نہ آوٴ گے؟1

  1. اصل میں لفظ تَذَکُّر استعمال ہوا ہے جس کا صحیح مفہُوم یہ ہے کہ ایک شخص جو غفلت اور بھلا وے میں پڑا ہوا ہو وہ چونک کر اُس چیز کو یاد کر لے جس سے وہ غافل تھا۔ اسی لیے ہم نے اَفَلَا تَتَذَکَّرُوْنَ کا یہ ترجمہ کیا ہے ۔ حضرت ابرہیم ؑ کے ارشاد کا مطلب یہ تھا کہ تم جو کچھ کر رہے ہو، تمہارا اصلی و حقیقی ربّ اس سے بے خبر  نہیں ہے ، اس کا علم ساری چیزوں پر وسیع ہے، پھر کیا اس حقیقت سے واقف ہو کر بھی تمھیں ہوش نہ آئے گا؟

Bayan-ul-Quran

اب (اس پر) آپ ؑ کی قوم آپ ؑ سے بحث کرنے لگی (ابراہیم ؑ نے) کہا کیا تم مجھ سے حجت بازی کر رہے ہو اللہ کے بارے میں جب کہ مجھے تو اس نے ہدایت دی ہے۔ اور مجھے کوئی خوف نہیں ہے ان (ہستیوں) کا جنہیں تم اس کا شریک ٹھہراتے رہے ہو سوائے اس کے کہ میرا رب ہی کوئی بات چاہے میرا رب ہر شے کا علم کے اعتبار سے احاطہ کیے ہوئے ہے تو کیا تم لوگ نصیحت حاصل نہیں کرتے ؟

Commentary

آیت 80 وَحَآجَّہٗ قَوْمُہٗ ط۔حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی قوم نے آپ علیہ السلام سے حجت بازی شروع کردی کہ یہ تم نے کیا کہہ دیا ہے ‘ تمام دیوی دیوتاؤں کی نفی کردی ‘ سارے ستاروں اور چاند سورج کی ربوہیت سے انکار کردیا ! اب ان دیوی دیوتاؤں اور ستاروں کی نحوست تم پر پڑے گی۔ اب تم انجام کے لیے تیار ہوجاؤ ‘ تمہاری شامت آنے ہی والی ہے۔ قَالَ اَتُحَآجُّوْٓنِّیْ فِی اللّٰہِ وَقَدْ ہَدٰنِط وَلَآ اَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِکُوْنَ بِہٖٓ اِلَّآ اَنْ یَّشَآءَ رَبِّیْ شَیْءًا ط۔ہاں اگر اللہ چاہے کہ مجھے کوئی تکلیف پہنچے ‘ کوئی آزمائش آجائے تو ٹھیک ہے ‘ کیونکہ وہ میرا خالق اور میرا رب ہے ‘ لیکن اس کے علاوہ مجھے کسی کا کوئی خوف نہیں ‘ نہ تمہاری کسی دیوی کا ‘ نہ کسی دیوتا کا ‘ نہ کسی ستارے کی نحوست کا اور نہ کسی اور کا۔ وَسِعَ رَبِّیْ کُلَّ شَیْءٍ عِلْمًاط اَفَلاَ تَتَذَکَّرُوْنَ میرے رب کا علم ہر شے کو محیط ہے۔ تو کیا تم لوگ سوچتے نہیں ہو ‘ عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے ہو ؟
