- وَاِذَااور جب
- جَآءَكَآئیں تیرے پاس
- الَّذِیْنَوہ لوگ
- یُؤْمِنُوْنَجو ایمان لاتے ہیں
- بِاٰیٰتِنَاہماری آیات پر
- فَقُلْپس کہہ دیجیے
- سَلٰمٌسلامتی ہو
- عَلَیْكُمْتم پر
- كَتَبَلکھ دی
- رَبُّكُمْتمہارے رب نے
- عَلٰیپر
- نَفْسِهِاپنے نفس
- الرَّحْمَةَ ۙرحمت
- اَنَّهٗبیشک وہ
- مَنْجس نے
- عَمِلَعمل کیے
- مِنْكُمْتم میں سے
- سُوْٓءًابرے
- بِجَهَالَةٍجہالت کے ساتھ
- ثُمَّپھر
- تَابَتوبہ کرلے
- مِنْاس کے
- بَعْدِهٖبعد
- وَاَصْلَحَاور اصلاح کرلے
- فَاَنَّهٗتو بیشک وہ
- غَفُوْرٌبخشنے والا

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
جب تمہارے پاس وہ لوگ آئیں جو ہماری آیات پر ایمان لاتے ہیں تو ان سے کہو ”تم پر سلامتی ہے۔ تمہارے رب نے رحم و کرم کا شیوہ اپنے اوپر لازم کرلیا ہے۔ یہ اس کا رحم و کرم ہی ہے کہ اگر تم میں سے کوئی نادانی کے ساتھ کسی بُرائی کا ارتکاب کر بیٹھا ہر پھر اس کے بعد توبہ کرے اور اصلاح کرلے تو وہ اُسے معاف کردیتا ہے اور نرمی سے کام لیتا ہے“1

جو لوگ اُس وقت نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر ایمان لائے تھے ان میں بکثرت لوگ ایسے بھی تھے جن سے زمانۂ جاہلیّت میں بڑے بڑے گناہ ہو چکے تھے۔ اب اسلام قبول کرنے کے بعد اگرچہ ان کی زندگیاں بالکل بدل گئی تھیں ، لیکن مخالفین ِ اسلام اُن کو سابق زندگی کے عُیُوب اور افعال کے طعنے دیتے تھے۔ اس پر فرمایا جا رہا ہے کہ اہلِ ایمان کو تسلّی دو۔ انہیں بتا ؤ کہ جو شخص توبہ کر کے اپنی اصلاح کر لیتا ہے اس کے پچھلے قُصُوروں پر گرفت کرنے کا طریقہ اللہ کے ہاں نہیں ہے۔
