- وَهُوَاور وہ
- الَّذِیْۤاللہ وہ ذات ہے
- اَنْشَاَجس نے پیدا کئے
- جَنّٰتٍباغات
- مَّعْرُوْشٰتٍچھتوں پر چڑھائے ہوئے
- وَّغَیْرَاور
- مَعْرُوْشٰتٍاور چھتوں پہ نہ چڑھائے ہوئے
- وَّالنَّخْلَاور کجھور کے درخت
- وَالزَّرْعَاور کھیت
- مُخْتَلِفًامختلف ہیں
- اُكُلُهٗاس کے کھانے
- وَالزَّیْتُوْنَاور زیتون
- وَالرُّمَّانَاور انار
- مُتَشَابِهًاآپس میں ملتے جلتے
- وَّغَیْرَاور نہ
- مُتَشَابِهٍ ؕملتے جلتے
- كُلُوْاکھاؤ
- مِنْسے
- ثَمَرِهٖۤاس کی پیدوار میں سے
- اِذَاۤجب
- اَثْمَرَوہ پھل لائے
- وَاٰتُوْااور دو
- حَقَّهٗاس کا حق
- یَوْمَدن
- حَصَادِهٖ ۖؗاس کی کٹائی کے
- وَلَااور نہ
- تُسْرِفُوْا ؕتم اسراف کرو
- اِنَّهٗکیونکہ وہ
- لَانہیں
- یُحِبُّپسند کرتا
- الْمُسْرِفِیْنَاسراف کرنے والوں کو

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
وہ اللہ ہی ہے جس نے طرح طرح کے باغ اور تاکستان1 اور نخلستان پیدا کیے، کھیتیاں اُگائیں جن سے قسم قسم کے ماکولات حاصل ہوتے ہیں، زیتون اور انار کے درخت پیدا کیے جن کے پھل صُورت میں مشابہ اور مزے میں مختلف ہوتے ہیں۔ کھاوٴ ان کی پیداوار جب کہ یہ پھلیں ، اور اللہ کا حق ادا کرو جب ان کی فصل کاٹو، اور حد سے نہ گزرو کہ اللہ حد سے گزرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا

اصل میں جَنّٰتٍ مَّعْرُوْ شٰتٍ وّ غَیْرَ مَعْرُوْشٰتٍ کے الفاظ استعمال کیے گئے ہیں جن سے مراد دو طرح کے باغ ہیں، ایک وہ جن کی بیلیں ٹٹیوں پر چڑھائی جاتی ہیں ، دُوسرے وہ جن کے درخت خود اپنے تنوں پرکھڑے رہتے ہیں۔ ہماری زبان میں باغ کا لفظ صرف دُوسری قسم کے باغوں کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے اس لیے ہم نے جَنّٰتٍّ غَیْرَ مَعْرُوْشٰتٍ کا ترجمہ”باغ“ کیا ہے اور جَنّٰتٍ مَّعْرُوْ شٰتٍ کے لیے ”تاکستان“(یعنی انگوری باغ) کا لفظ اختیار کیا ہے۔
