Tafheem-ul-Quran
پھر اگر تم لوگ اللہ کی آیات پر ایمان رکھتے ہو تو جس جانور پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو اُس کا گوشت کھاوٴ۔1

مِن جملہ ان غلط طریقوں کے جو اکثر اہلِ زمین نے بطورِ خود قیاس و گمان سے تجویز کر لیے اور جنھیں مذہبی حُدُود و قیُود کی حیثیت حاصل ہو گئی ، ایک وہ پابندیاں بھی ہیں جو کھانے پینے کی چیزوں میں مختلف قوموں کے درمیان پائی جاتی ہیں۔ بعض چیزوں کو لوگوں نے آپ ہی آپ حلال قرار دے لیا ہے حالانکہ اللہ کی نظر میں وہ حرام ہیں۔ اور بعض چیزوں کو انھوں نے خود حرام ٹھیرا لیا ہے حالانکہ اللہ نے انھیں حلال کیا ہے۔ خصُوصیّت کے ساتھ سب سے زیادہ جاہلانہ بات جس پر پہلے بھی بعض گروہ مُصِر تھے اور آج بھی دُنیا کے بعض گروہ مُصِر ہیں، وہ یہ ہے کہ اللہ کا نام لے کر جو جانور ذبح کیا جائے وہ تو ان کے نزدیک ناجائز ہے اور اللہ کے نام کے بغیر جسے ذبح کیا جائے وہ بالکل جائز ہے۔ اسی کی تردید کرتے ہوئے اللہ تعالیٰ یہاں مسلمانوں سے فرما رہا ہے کہ اگر تم حقیقت میں اللہ پر ایمان لائے ہو اور اس کے احکام کو مانتے ہو تو اُن تمام اوہام اور تعصّبات کو چھوڑ دو جو کفار و مشرکین میں پائے جاتے ہیں، اُن سب پابندیوں کو توڑ دو جو خدا کی ہدایت سے بے نیاز ہو کر لوگوں نے خود عائد کر رکھی ہیں، حرام صرف اسی چیز کو سمجھو جسے خدا نے حرام کیا ہے اور حلال اسی کو ٹھیراؤ جس کو اللہ نے حلال قرار دیا ہے۔
