  1. فَعَتَوْاتو انہوں نے سرکشی کی
  2. عَنْسے
  3. اَمْرِحکم
  4. رَبِّهِمْاپنے رب کے
  5. فَاَخَذَتْهُمُتو پکڑ لیا ان کو
  6. الصّٰعِقَةُایک کڑک نے
  7. وَهُمْاور وہ
  8. یَنْظُرُوْنَدیکھ رہے تھے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

مگر اس تنبیہ پر بھی انہوں نے اپنے رب کےحکم سے سرتابی کی۔ آخر کار ان کے دیکھتے دیکھتےایک اچانک ٹوٹ پڑنے والے عذاب1 نے ان کو آلیا۔

  1. قرآن مجید میں مختلف مقامات پر اس عذاب کے لیے مختلف الفاظ استعمال ہوئے ہیں۔ کہیں اسے رَجْرہ (دہلا دینے والی اور ہلا مارنے والی آفت) کہا گیا ہے۔ کہیں اس کی صیحہ (دھماکے اور کڑکے ) سے تعبیر کیا گیا ہے۔کہیں اس کے لیے طاغیہ (انتہائی شدید آفت) کا لفظ استعمال کیا گیا ہے۔ اور یہاں اسی کو صاعقہ کہا گیا ہے جس کے معنی بجلی کی طرح اچانک ٹوٹ پڑنے والی آفت کے بھی ہیں اور سخت کڑک کے بھی۔ غالباً یہ عذاب ایک ایسے زلزلے کی شکل میں آیا تھا جس کے ساتھ خوفناک آواز بھی تھی۔
