  1. اِذْجب
  2. دَخَلُوْاوہ داخل ہوئے
  3. عَلَیْهِاس پر
  4. فَقَالُوْاتو انہوں نے کہا
  5. سَلٰمًا ؕسلام
  6. قَالَکہا
  7. سَلٰمٌ ۚسلام
  8. قَوْمٌایک قوم ہو
  9. مُّنْكَرُوْنَنا آشنا۔ انجانے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جب وہ اُس کے ہاں آئے تو کہا آپ کو سلام ہے۔ اُس نے کہا ”آپ لوگوں کو بھی سلام ہے1۔۔۔۔ کچھ ناآشنا سے لوگ ہیں۔“

  1. سیاق و سباق کو دیکھتے ہوئے اس فقرے کے دو معنی ہو سکتے ہیں۔ ایک یہ کہ حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے خود ان مہمانوں سے فرمایا کہ آپ حضرات سے کبھی پہلے شرف نیاز حاصل نہیں ہوا، آپ شاید اس علاقے میں نئے نئے تشریف لائے ہیں۔دوسرے یہ کہ ان کے سلام کا جواب دے کر حضرت ابراہیم نے اپنے دل میں کہا، یا گھر میں ضیافت کا انتظام کرنے کے لیے جاتے ہوئے اپنے خادموں سے فرمایا کہ یہ کچھ اجنبی سے لوگ ہیں، پہلے کبھی اس علاقے میں اس شان اور وضع قطع کے لوگ دیکھنے میں نہیں آئے۔
