Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اُس کے ساتھی نے عرض کیا یہ جو میری سپردگی میں تھا حاضر ہے۔1

  1. بعض مفسرین نے اس کا مطلب یہ بیان کیا ہے کہ ’’ ساتھی‘‘ سے مراد وہ فرشتہ ہے جسے آیت نمبر 21 میں ’’گواہی دینے والا‘‘ فرمایا گیا ہے۔ وہ کہے گا کہ یہ اس شخص کا نامۂ عمال میرے پاس تیار ہے۔ کچھ دوسرے مفسرین کہتے ہیں کہ ’’ساتھی ‘‘ سے مراد وہ شیطان ہے جو دنیا میں اس شخص کے ساتھ لگا ہوا تھا۔ وہ عرض کرے گا کہ یہ شخص جو کو میں نے اپنے قابو میں کر کے جہنم کے لیے تیار کیا تھا ب آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہے۔ مگر سیاق و سباق سے زیادہ مناسبت رکھنے والی تفسیر وہ ہے جو قتادہ اور ابن زید سے منقول ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ساتھی سے مراد ہانک کر لانے والا فرشتہ ہے اور وہی عدالت الٰہی میں پہنچ کر عرض کرے گا کہ یہ شخص جو میری سپردگی میں تھا سر کار کی پیشی میں حاضر ہے۔

اور اس کا ساتھی کہے گا : (پروردگار !) یہ جو میری تحویل میں تھا حاضر ہے

Commentary

آیت 23{ وَقَالَ قَرِیْنُہٗ ہٰذَا مَا لَدَیَّ عَتِیْدٌ۔ } ”اور اس کا ساتھی کہے گا : پروردگار ! یہ جو میری تحویل میں تھا ‘ حاضر ہے !“ کچھ لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ یہاں ”ساتھی“ سے فرشتہ مراد ہے ‘ لیکن میں ان لوگوں سے متفق ہوں جو اس سے شیطان مراد لیتے ہیں۔ دراصل خیر اور شر کی قوتیں انسان کے اندر بھی موجود ہیں اور خارج میں بھی۔ اندر سے انسان کا نفس اسے برائی پر ابھارتا ہے ‘ جبکہ خارج میں ہر انسان کے ساتھ ایک شیطان بھی مامور ہے جو اس کے نفس میں ہر وقت وسوسہ اندازی کرتا رہتا ہے۔ اسی طرح ہر انسان کے اندر اس کی روح ”داعی ٔ خیر“ کے طور پر موجود ہے جبکہ خارج میں اس حوالے سے فرشتے اس کی مدد کرتے ہیں۔ سورة حٰمٓ السجدۃ کی آیات 30 اور 31 میں ان فرشتوں کے بارے میں ہم پڑھ آئے ہیں جو نیکی کے کاموں میں انسان کی پشت پناہی کرتے ہیں : { نَحْنُ اَوْلِیٰٓــؤُکُمْ فِی الْحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنْیَا وَفِی الْاٰخِرَۃِ ج }۔ فرشتوں کی معیت کے باعث ہی کوئی نیک کام کر کے ہمیں خوشی اور طمانیت محسوس ہوتی ہے۔ ایسے مواقع پر فرشتے دراصل ہمیں بشارت اور شاباش دے رہے ہوتے ہیں جس کے اثرات ہماری روح پر طمانیت کی صورت میں مرتب ہوتے ہیں۔
