- وَلَوْاور اگر
- اَنَّهُمْبیشک وہ
- اَقَامُواقائم کرتے
- التَّوْرٰىةَتورات
- وَالْاِنْجِیْلَاور انجیل
- وَمَاۤاور جو
- اُنْزِلَنازل کیا گیا
- اِلَیْهِمْان کی طرف
- مِّنْسے
- رَّبِّهِمْان کے رب کی طرف سے
- لَاَكَلُوْاالبتہ وہ کھاتے
- مِنْسے
- فَوْقِهِمْاپنے اوپر سے
- وَمِنْاور سے
- تَحْتِنیچے سے
- اَرْجُلِهِمْ ؕاور اپنے پاؤں
- مِنْهُمْان میں سے
- اُمَّةٌایک گروہ
- مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ ؕراست رو۔ درمیانہ۔ معتدل
- وَكَثِیْرٌاور بہت سے
- مِّنْهُمْان میں سے
- سَآءَبہت برا ہے
- مَاجو
- یَعْمَلُوْنَوہ عمل کرتے ہیں

کاش انہوں نے توراة اور انجیل اور اُن دوسری کتابوں کو قائم کیا ہوتا جو اِن کے رب کی طرف سے اِن کے پاس بھیجی گئی تھیں۔ ایسا کرتے تو اِن کے لیے اُوپر سے رزق برستا اور نیچے سے اُبلتا۔1 اگرچہ ان میں کچھ لوگ راست رَو بھی ہیں لیکن ان کی اکثریت سخت بد عمل ہے

بائیبل کی کتاب احبار(باب 2۶) اور استثناء( باب 28)” میں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السّلام کی ایک تقریر نقل کی گئی ہے جس میں انہوں نے بنی اسرائیل کو بڑی تفصیل کے ساتھ بتایا ہے کہ اگر تم احکامِ الٰہی کی ٹھیک ٹھیک پیروی کرو گے تو کس کس طرح اللہ کی رحمتوں اور برکتوں سے نوازے جاؤ گے ، اور اگر کتاب اللہ کو پسِ پشت ڈال کر نافرمانیاں کرو گے تو کس طرح بلائیں اور مصیبتیں اور تباہیاں ہر طرف سے تم پر ہجوم کریں گی۔ حضرت موسیٰ ؑ کی وہ تقریر قرآن کے اِس مختصر فقرے کی بہترین تفسیر ہے۔
