ابنِ مریم ؑ اِس کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا کہ ایک بندہ تھا جس پر ہم نے انعام کیا اور بنی اسرائیل کے لیے اپنی قدرت کا ایک نمونہ بنا دیا۔1

قدرت کا نمونہ بنانے سے مراد حضرت عیسیٰ کو بے باپ کے پیدا کرنا ، اور پھر ان کو وہ معجزے عطا کرنا ہے جو نہ ان سے پہلے کسی کو دیے گئے تھے نہ ان کے بعد ۔ وہ مٹی کا پرندہ بناتے اور اس میں پھونک مارتے تو وہ جیتا جاگتا پرندہ بن جاتا۔ وہ مادر زاد اندھے کو بینا کر دیتے ۔ وہ کوڑھ کے مریض کو تندرست کر دیتے ۔ حتیٰ کہ وہ مردے جِلا دیتے تھے ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کے ارشاد کا منشا یہ ہے کہ محض اس غیر معمولی پیدائش اور ان عظیم معجزات کی وجہ سے ان کو بندگی سے بالا تر سمجھنا اور خدا کا بیٹا قرار دے کر ان کی عبادت کرنا غلط ہے ۔ ان کی حیثیت ایک بندے سے زیادہ کچھ نہ تھی جسے ہم نے اپنے انعامات سے نواز کر اپنی قدرت کا نمونہ بنا دیا تھا۔ (تفصیل کے لیے ملاحظہ ہو تفہیم القرآن جلد اول، ص ،250 تا 252۔ 259۔417۔457 460513۔ جلد سوم 63 تا 67۔ 184۔ 185۔ 280۔281 ) ۔
