Commentary
آیت 31 { وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ ہٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنُ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الْقَرْیَتَیْنِ عَظِیْمٍ } ”اور کہنے لگے کہ کیوں نہیں اتارا گیا یہ قرآن ان دو بستیوں میں سے کسی عظیم شخص پر ؟“ یہاں اصل مرکب اضافی ”رَجُلٍ عَظِیْمٍ“ ہے ‘ لیکن ان دو الفاظ کے درمیان ”مِنَ الْقَرْیَتَیْنِ“ آجانے سے ”رجل“ کی صفت عظیم آخر پر چلی گئی ہے۔ قرآن کے اسلوب کے مطابق الفاظ کی یہ تقدیم و تاخیر مخصوص صوتی آہنگ کے باعث ہوتی ہے جس کی مثالیں قرآن میں جا بجا ملتی ہیں۔ مکہ اور طائف نزولِ قرآن کے زمانے میں پاکستان کے راولپنڈی اور اسلام آباد کی طرح جڑواں شہر twin cities سمجھے جاتے تھے۔ دونوں شہروں کے لوگوں کے آپس میں گہرے مراسم تھے۔ مکہ کے اکثر سرداروں کی طائف میں بڑی بڑی جائیدادیں تھیں۔ ان میں ولید بن مغیرہ کا ذکر روایات میں خاص طور پر آتا ہے کہ طائف میں اس کے بہت سے باغات اور مکانات تھے۔ مذکورہ جملہ دراصل اس پس منظر میں کسا گیا تھا کہ ان دونوں شہروں کی بڑی شخصیات کو چھوڑ کر اللہ کو رسول بنانے اور اس پر اپنی کتاب نازل کرنے کے لیے آخر قریش کا ایک یتیم ہی کیوں پسند آیا ہے !
