  1. فَاِنْپھر اگر
  2. اَعْرَضُوْاوہ منہ موڑتے ہیں
  3. فَقُلْتو کہہ دیجیے
  4. اَنْذَرْتُكُمْمیں ڈراتا ہوں تم کو
  5. صٰعِقَةًعذاب سے
  6. مِّثْلَمانند
  7. صٰعِقَةِعذاب کے
  8. عَادٍقوم عاد کے
  9. وَّثَمُوْدَاور ثمود کے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اب اگر یہ لوگ منہ موڑتے ہیں1 تو اِن سے کہہ دو کہ میں تم کو اُسی طرح کے ایک اچانک ٹوٹ پڑنے والے عذاب سے ڈراتا ہوں جیسا عاد اور ثمود پر نازل ہوا تھا

  1.  یعنی اس بات کو نہیں مانتے کہ خدا اور معبود بس وہی ایک ہے جس نے یہ زمین اور ساری کائنات  بنائی ہے، اور اپنی اس جہالت پر اصرار ہی کیے چلے جاتے ہیں کہ اُس خدا کے ساتھ دوسروں کو بھی، جو حقیقت میں اس کے مخلوق و مملوک ہیں ، معبود بنائیں گے اور اس کی ذات و صفات اور حقوق و اختیارات میں انہیں اس کا شریک ٹھیرائیں گے۔

تو (اے نبی ﷺ !) اگر یہ لوگ اعراض کریں تو آپ کہہ دیجیے کہ میں نے تو تمہیں خبردار کردیا ہے ایک ایسی خوفناک کڑک سے جیسی کہ قوم عاد اور قوم ثمود کی کڑک تھی۔

Commentary

آیت 13 { فَاِنْ اَعْرَضُوْا فَقُلْ اَنْذَرْتُکُمْ صٰعِقَۃً مِّثْلَ صٰعِقَۃِ عَادٍ وَّثَمُوْدَ } ”تو اے نبی ﷺ ! اگر یہ لوگ اعراض کریں تو آپ کہہ دیجیے کہ میں نے تو تمہیں خبردار کردیا ہے ایک ایسی خوفناک کڑک سے جیسی کہ قوم عاد اور قوم ثمود کی کڑک تھی۔“ میں نے تو تم لوگوں کو آگاہ کردیا ہے کہ جیسے قوم عاد اور قوم ثمود پر عذاب آیا تھا ‘ تمہاری تکذیب کے باعث ویسا ہی کوئی عذاب تم پر بھی ٹوٹ سکتا ہے۔
