  10. كَانُوْاتھے
  11. مِنْسے
  12. قَبْلِهِمْ ؕان سے قبل۔ ان سے پہلے
  13. كَانُوْاتھے وہ
  14. هُمْوہی
  15. اَشَدَّزیادہ شدید
  16. مِنْهُمْان سے
  17. قُوَّةًقوت میں
  18. وَّاٰثَارًااور آثار میں۔ نشانیوں میں
  19. فِیمیں
  20. الْاَرْضِزمین (میں)
  21. فَاَخَذَهُمُپس پکڑ لیا ان کو
  22. اللّٰهُاللہ نے
  23. بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ ؕان کے گناہوں کی وجہ سے
  24. وَمَااور نہ
  25. كَانَتھا
  26. لَهُمْان کے لیے
  27. مِّنَسے
  28. اللّٰهِاللہ (سے)
  29. مِنْکوئی
  30. وَّاقٍبچانے والا

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

کیا یہ لوگ کبھی زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں ہیں کہ انہیں اُن لوگوں کا انجام نظر آتا جو اِن سے پہلے گزر چکے ہیں؟ وہ اِن زیادہ طاقت ور تھے اور ان سے زیادہ زبردست آثار زمین میں چھوڑ گئے ہیں مگر اللہ نے ان کے گناہوں پر انہیں پکڑ لیا اور اُن کو اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ تھا

Bayan-ul-Quran

کیا یہ زمین میں گھومے پھرے نہیں ہیں کہ دیکھتے کیسا انجام ہوا ان لوگوں کا جو ان سے پہلے تھے ! وہ کہیں زیادہ بڑھ کر تھے ان سے قوت میں اور زمین میں آثار کے حوالے سے بھی تو اللہ نے ان کو پکڑا ان کے گناہوں کی پاداش میں۔ اور پھر کوئی نہ ہوا انہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا۔

Commentary

آیت 21 { اَوَ لَمْ یَسِیْرُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ فَیَنْظُرُوْا کَیْفَ کَانَ عَاقِبَۃُ الَّذِیْنَ کَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِہِمْ } ”کیا یہ زمین میں گھومے پھرے نہیں ہیں کہ دیکھتے کیسا انجام ہوا ان لوگوں کا جو ان سے پہلے تھے !“ { کَانُوْا ہُمْ اَشَدَّ مِنْہُمْ قُوَّۃً وَّاٰثَارًا فِی الْاَرْضِ } ”وہ کہیں زیادہ بڑھ کر تھے ان سے قوت میں اور زمین میں آثار کے حوالے سے بھی ‘ ‘ انہوں نے زمین میں بڑی بڑی عمارتیں اور بہت سی دوسری ایسی یادگاریں بنائیں جو ان کے بعد بھی ان کی نشانیوں کے طور پر موجود رہی ہیں۔ اقوامِ ماضی کے ایسے بہت سے آثار آج بھی دنیا میں جا بجا موجود ہیں جنہیں ہم آثار قدیمہ کہتے ہیں۔ { فَاَخَذَہُمُ اللّٰہُ بِذُنُوْبِہِمْ } ”تو اللہ نے ان کو پکڑا ان کے گناہوں کی پاداش میں۔“ { وَمَا کَانَ لَہُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ مِنْ وَّاقٍ } ”اور پھر کوئی نہ ہوا انہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا۔“
