  2. یَحْسُدُوْنَحسد کرتے ہیں

  10. فَقَدْتو تحقیق
  11. اٰتَیْنَاۤدی ہم نے
  12. اٰلَآل
  13. اِبْرٰهِیْمَابراہیم کو
  14. الْكِتٰبَکتاب
  15. وَالْحِكْمَةَاور حکمت
  16. وَاٰتَیْنٰهُمْاور دی ہم نے
  17. مُّلْكًابادشاہت

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

پھر یا یہ دُوسروں سے اس لیے حسد کرتے ہیں کہ اللہ نے انہیں اپنے فضل سے نواز دیا؟1 اگر یہ بات ہے تو انہیں معلوم ہوکہ ہم نے تو ابراہیم ؑ کی اولاد کو کتاب اور حکمت عطا کی اور ملکِ عظیم بخش دیا،2

  1.  یعنی یہ اپنی نا اہلی کے باوجود اللہ کے جس فضل اور جس انعام کی آس خود لگائے بیٹھے تھے، اس سے جب دُوسرے لوگ سرفراز کر دیے گئے اور عرب کے اُمیّوں میں ایک عظیم الشان نبی کے ظہُور سے وہ رُوحانی و اخلاقی اور ذہنی و عملی زندگی پیدا ہوگئی جس کا لازمی نتیجہ عروج و سربلندی ہے، تو اب یہ اس پر حسد کر رہے ہیں اور یہ باتیں اسی حسد کی بنا پر ان کے منہ سے نکل رہی ہیں۔

  2. ”ملکِ عظیم“ سے مراد دنیا کی امامت و رہنمائی اور اقوامِ عالم پر قائدانہ اقتدار ہے جو کتاب اللہ کا علم پانے اور اس علم و حکمت کے مطابق عمل کرنے سے لازماً حاصل ہوتا ہے۔

کیا یہ حسد کر رہے ہیں لوگوں سے اس پر کہ جو اللہ نے ان کو اپنے فضل میں سے عطا کردیا ہے ؟ تو ہم نے آل ابراہیم ؑ کو کتاب اور حکمت عطا فرمائی اور انہیں بہت بڑی حکومتیں بھی دیں

Commentary (one passage for ayahs 4:54, 4:55)

آیت 54 اَمْ یَحْسُدُوْنَ النَّاسَ عَلٰی مَآاٰتٰٹہُمُ اللّٰہُ مِنْ فَضْلِہٖ ج دراصل یہ سب اس حسد کا نتیجہ ہے جو یہ مسلمانوں سے رکھتے ہیں کہ اللہ نے ان امیین میں اپنا آخری نبی ‘ بھیج دیا اور انہیں اپنی آخری کتاب عطا فرما دی جنہیں یہ حقیر سمجھتے تھے۔ اب یہ اس حسد کی آگ میں جل رہے ہیں۔ فَقَدْ اٰتَیْنَآ اٰلَ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ الْکِتٰبَ وَالْحِکْمَۃَ وَاٰتَیْنٰہُمْ مُّلْکًا عَظِیْمًا۔یعنی تمہیں بھی اگر تورات اور انجیل ملی تھی تو ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی نسل ہونے کے ناتے سے ملی تھی ‘ تو یہ جو اسماعیل علیہ السلام کی نسل ہے یہ بھی تو ابراہیم علیہ السلام ہی کی نسل ہے۔ ہاں بنی اسرائیل کو کتاب اور حکمت علیحدہ علیحدہ ملی۔ تورات کتاب تھی اور انجیل حکمت تھی ‘ جبکہ یہاں کتاب اور حکمت اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایک ہی جگہ پر قرآن میں بتمام و کمال جمع کردی ہیں۔ مزید برآں جیسے ان کو ملک عظیم دیا تھا ‘ اب ہم ان مسلمانوں کو اس سے بڑا ملک دیں گے۔ یہ مضمون سورة النور میں آئے گا : لَیَسْتَخْلِفَنَّھُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ کَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِھِمْ آیت 55 ہم ‘ لازماً ان اہل ایمان کو دنیا میں حکومت اور خلافت عطا کریں گے جیسے ان سے پہلوں کو عطا کی تھی۔“
