- وَاعْبُدُوااور عبادت کرو
- اللّٰهَاللہ کی
- وَلَااور نہ
- تُشْرِكُوْاتم شریک ٹھہراؤ
- بِهٖساتھ اس کے
- شَیْـًٔاکچھ بھی۔ کسی چیز کو
- وَّبِالْوَالِدَیْنِاور والدین کے ساتھ
- اِحْسَانًااحسان کرو
- وَّبِذِیاور ساتھ
- الْقُرْبٰیرشتہ داروں کے
- وَالْیَتٰمٰیاور یتیموں کے
- وَالْمَسٰكِیْنِاور مسکینوں کے
- وَالْجَارِاور پڑوسی

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
اور تم سب اللہ کی بندگی کرو، اُس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ بناوٴ، ماں باپ کے ساتھ نیک برتاوٴ کرو، قرابت داروں اور یتیموں اور مسکینوں کے ساتھ حُسنِ سلوک سے پیش آوٴ، اور پڑوسی رشتہ دار سے، اجنبی ہمسایہ سے، پہلو کے ساتھی1 اور مسافر سے، اور اُن لونڈی غلاموں سے جو تمہارے قبضہ میں ہوں، احسان کا معاملہ رکھو، یقین جانو اللہ کسی ایسے شخص کو پسند نہیں کرتا جو اپنے پندار میں مغرور ہو اور اپنی بڑائی پر فخر کرے

متن میں”الصا حب بالجنب“ فرمایا گیا ہے جس سے مراد ہم نشین دوست بھی ہےاور ایسا شخص بھی جس سے کہیں کسی وقت آدمی کا ساتھ ہو جائے۔ مثلاً آپ بازار میں جا رہے ہوں اور کوئی شخص آپ کے ساتھ راستہ چل رہا ہو، یا کسی دوکان پر آپ سودا خرید رہے ہوں اور کوئی دوسرا خریدا ر بھی آپ کے پاس بیٹھا ہو ، یاسفر کے دوران میں کوئی شخص آپ کا ہم سفر ہو۔ یہ عارضی ہمسائیگی بھی ہر مہذّب اور شریف انسان پر ایک حق عائد کرتی ہے جس کا تقاضا یہ ہے کہ وہ حتی الامکان اس کے ساتھ نیک برتا ؤ کرے اور اسے تکلیف دینے سے مجتنب رہے۔
