- یٰۤاَیُّهَااے لوگو
- الَّذِیْنَجو
- اٰمَنُوْاایمان لائے ہو
- كُوْنُوْاہوجاؤ
- قَوّٰمِیْنَقائم ہونے والے
- بِالْقِسْطِساتھ انصاف کے
- شُهَدَآءَگواہی دینے والے
- لِلّٰهِاللہ کے لیے
- وَلَوْاور اگرچہ

Translation and commentary
Tafheem-ul-Quran
اے لوگو جو ایمان لائےہو ، انصاف کے علمبردار1 اور خدا واسطے کے گواہ بنو2 اگرچہ تمہارے انصاف اور تمہاری گواہی کی زد خود تمہاری اپنی ذات پر یا تمہارے والدین اور رشتہ داروں پر ہی کیوں نہ پڑتی ہو۔ فریقِ معاملہ خواہ مالدار ہو یا غریب ، اللہ تم سے زیادہ ان کا خیر خواہ ہے۔ لہٰذا اپنی خواہش نفس کی پیروی میں عدل سے باز نہ رہو۔ اور اگر تم نے لگی پٹی بات کہی یا سچائی سے پہلو بچایا تو جان رکھو کہ جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ کو اس کی خبر ہے

یہ فرمانے پر اکتفا نہیں کیا کہ انصاف کی روش پر چلو، بلکہ یہ فرمایا کہ انصاف کے علمبردار بنو۔ تمہارا کام صرف انصاف کرنا ہی نہیں ہے بلکہ انصاف کا جھنڈا لے کر اُٹھنا ہے۔ تمہیں اس بات پر کمر بستہ ہونا چاہیے کہ ظلم مٹے اور اس کی جگہ عدل و راستی قائم ہو۔ عدل کو اپنے قیام کے لیے جس سہارے کی ضرورت ہے ، مومن ہونے کی حیثیت سے تمہارا مقام یہ ہے کہ وہ سہارا تم بنو۔

یعنی تمہاری گواہی محض خدا کے لیے ہونی چاہیے ، کسی کی رو رعایت اس میں نہ ہو، کوئی ذاتی مفاد یا خدا کے سوا کسی کی خوشنودی تمہارے مدِّ نظر نہ ہو۔
