اس نے دعا کی : پروردگار ! مجھے معاف فرما دے اور مجھے ایسی حکومت عطا فرما جو میرے بعد کسی اور کے لیے سزاوار نہ ہو یقینا تو ہی عطا فرمانے والا ہے۔

Commentary
آیت 35 { قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِیْ وَہَبْ لِیْ مُلْکًا لَّا یَنْبَغِیْ لِاَحَدٍ مِّنْم بَعْدِیْ اِنَّکَ اَنْتَ الْوَہَّابُ } ”اس نے دعا کی : پروردگار ! مجھے معاف فرما دے اور مجھے ایسی حکومت عطا فرما جو میرے بعد کسی اور کے لیے سزاوار نہ ہو ‘ یقینا تو ہی عطا فرمانے والا ہے۔“ چناچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ علیہ السلام کی یہ دعا قبول فرماتے ہوئے آپ علیہ السلام کو ِجنوں ‘ پرندوں اور ہوائوں پر بھی حکومت عطا فرمائی اور ایسی حکومت آپ علیہ السلام کے بعد پھر کسی اور کو نصیب نہ ہوئی۔ حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام اور آپ علیہ السلام کے والد حضرت دائود علیہ السلام پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے جو خصوصی انعامات اور احسانات فرمائے تھے ان کے بارے میں حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام کے جذباتِ شکر کا اظہار آپ علیہ السلام کی اس دعا سے بھی ہوتا ہے : { وَقَالَ رَبِّ اَوْزِعْنِیْٓ اَنْ اَشْکُرَ نِعْمَتَکَ الَّتِیْٓ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَیَّ وَعَلٰی وَالِدَیَّ وَاَنْ اَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضٰہُ وَاَدْخِلْنِیْ بِرَحْمَتِکَ فِیْ عِبَادِکَ الصّٰلِحِیْنَ۔ النمل ”اور اس نے دعا کی : پروردگار ! مجھے توفیق دے کہ میں شکر ادا کروں تیری اس نعمت کا جو تو نے مجھے اور میرے والدین کو عطا کی ہے اور یہ کہ میں اچھے اعمال کروں جن سے تو راضی ہو ‘ اور مجھے داخل کرنا اپنی رحمت سے اپنے نیک بندوں میں۔“
