  15. فَاحْكُمْپس فیصلہ کردیجئے
  16. بَیْنَنَاہمارے درمیان
  17. بِالْحَقِّصحیح/ حق کے ساتھ
  18. وَلَااور نہ
  19. تُشْطِطْزیادتی کیجئے
  20. وَاهْدِنَاۤاور رہنمائی کیجئے
  21. اِلٰیطرف
  22. سَوَآءِہماری سیدھے
  23. الصِّرَاطِراستے کے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

جب وہ داوٴد ؑ کے پاس پہنچے تو وہ انہیں دیکھ کر گھبرا گیا۔1 انہوں نے کہا”ڈریے نہیں، ہم دو فریقِ مقدمہ ہیں جن میں سے ایک نے دُوسرے پر زیادتی کی ہے۔ آپ ہمارے درمیان ٹھیک ٹھیک حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیجیے، بے انصافی نہ کیجیے اور ہمیں راہِ راست بتائیے

Bayan-ul-Quran

جب وہ دائود ؑ کے پاس آئے تو وہ ان سے ڈرا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آپ ڈریں نہیں ہم دو مخالف فریق ہیں ہم میں سے ایک نے دوسرے پر زیادتی کی ہے تو آپ ہمارے درمیان حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کردیجیے اور آپ اسے ٹالیے نہیں اور سیدھی راہ کی طرف ہماری راہنمائی کیجیے۔

Commentary

آیت 22 { اِذْ دَخَلُوْا عَلٰی دَاوٗدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْہُمْ } ”جب وہ دائود علیہ السلام کے پاس آئے تو وہ ان سے ڈرا۔“ تمام تر حفاظتی انتظامات کے باوجود دو افراد کا آپ علیہ السلام کی خلوت گاہ میں اچانک در آنا ایک انتہائی غیر معمولی واقعہ تھا۔ چناچہ آپ علیہ السلام کو بجا طور پر تشویش ہوئی کہ نہ معلوم یہ لوگ کس نیت سے آئے ہیں۔ { قَالُوْا لَا تَخَفْج خَصْمٰنِ بَغٰی بَعْضُنَا عَلٰی بَعْضٍ } ”انہوں نے کہا کہ آپ ڈریں نہیں ‘ ہم دو مخالف فریق ہیں ‘ ہم میں سے ایک نے دوسرے پر زیادتی کی ہے“ عربی میں ”خصم“ سے مراد وہ شخص ہے جو کسی کے بالمقابل ہو ‘ یعنی دشمن یا مخالف فریق۔ { فَاحْکُمْ بَیْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِط } ”تو آپ ہمارے درمیان حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کردیجیے اور آپ اسے ٹالیے نہیں“ یعنی یہ مقدمہ ہمارے لیے بہت اہم ہے اور ہم اس کا فوری طور پر فیصلہ چاہتے ہیں۔ آپ علیہ السلام اسے کسی اور وقت پر نہ ٹال دیجیے گا۔ { وَاہْدِنَآ اِلٰی سَوَآئِ الصِّرَاطِ } ”اور سیدھی راہ کی طرف ہماری راہنمائی کیجیے۔“ ہمارے بیانات سن کر آپ علیہ السلام ہمیں درست لائحہ عمل اختیار کرنے کی ہدایت فرمائیں۔ چناچہ ان میں سے جو مدعی تھا اس نے اپنا مقدمہ اس طرح پیش کیا :ـ
