Surah 37, ayah 28

  1. قَالُوْۤاکہیں گے

  4. تَاْتُوْنَنَاآتے تم ہمارے پاس

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

(پیروی کرنے والے اپنے پیشواوٴں سے)کہیں گے،”تم ہمارے پاس سیدھے رُخ سے آتے تھے۔“1

  1.  اصل الفاظ ہیں کُنْتُمْ تَأ تُوْ نَنَا عَنِ الْیَمِیْنِ۔ ’’ تم ہمارے پاس یمین کی راس سے آتے تھے ۔‘‘ یمین کا لفظ عربی زبان میں متعدد مفہومات کے لیے بولا جاتا ہے ۔ اگر اس کو قوت و طاقت کے معنی میں لیا جائے تو مطلب یہ ہو گا کہ ہم کمزور تھے اور تم ہم پر غالب تھے ، اس لیے تم اپنے زور سے ہم کو گمراہی کی طرف کھینچ لے گئے ۔ اگر اس کو خیر اور بھلائی کے معنی میں لیا جائے تو مطلب یہ ہو گا کہ تم نے خیر خواہ بن کر ہمیں دھوکا دیا۔ تم ہمیں یقین دلاتے رہے کہ جس راہ پر تم ہمیں چلا رہے ہو یہی حق اور بھلائی کی راہ ہے ۔ اس لیے ہم تمہارے فریب میں آ گئے ۔اور اگر اسے قَسم کے معنی میں لیا جائے تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہو گا کہ تم نے قَسمیں کھا کھا کر ہمیں اطمینان دلایا تھا کہ حق وہی ہے جو تم پیش کر رہے ہو۔

کہیں گے کہ تم ہی تو آیا کرتے تھے ہمارے پاس بڑے دبدبے کے ساتھ !

Commentary

آیت 28{ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّکُمْ کُنْتُمْ تَاْتُوْنَنَا عَنِ الْیَمِیْنِ } ”کہیں گے کہ تم ہی تو آیا کرتے تھے ہمارے پاس بڑے دبدبے کے ساتھ !“ یعنی تم ہمارے سردار تھے اور اپنی اس حیثیت کا رعب جما کر ہمیں اپنی پیروی پر مجبور کیا کرتے تھے۔ تم ہمارے پاس بہت رعب ‘ دبدبے ‘ طاقت اور زور کے ساتھ آیا کرتے تھے۔ لفظ ”یمین“ کے معنی طاقت کے بھی ہیں اور داہنی طرف کے بھی۔ چناچہ آیت کا ترجمہ یوں بھی کیا گیا ہے کہ ”تم آیا کرتے تھے ہمارے پاس دائیں طرف سے۔“
