اور ہم نے ایک بڑی قربانی فدیے میں دے کر اس بچے کو چھڑا لیا1

  1. ’’ بڑی قربانی‘‘ سے مراد ، جیسا کہ بائیبل اور اسلامی روایات میں بیان ہوا ہے ، ایک مینڈھا ہے جو اس وقت اللہ تعالیٰ کے فرشتے نے حضرت ابراہیمؑ کے سامنے پیش کیا، تاکہ بیٹے کے بدلے اس کو ذبح کر دیں ۔ اسے بڑی قربانی کے لفظ سے اس لیے تعبیر کیا گیا کہ وہ ابراہیمؑ جیسے وفادار  بندے کے لیے فرزند ابراہیمؑ جیسے صاب و جاں نثار لڑکے کا فدیہ تھا، اور اسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایک بے نظیر قربانی کی نیت پوری کرنے کا وسیلہ بنایا تھا۔ اس کے علاوہ اسے ’’ بڑی قربانی‘‘ قرار دینے کی ایک وجہ یہ بھی ہے کہ قیامت تک کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ سنت جاری کر دی کہ اسی تاریخ کو تمام اہل ایمان دنیا بھر میں جانور قربان کریں اور وفاداری و جاں نثاری کے اس عظیم الشان واقعہ کی یاد تازہ کرتے رہیں ۔
