Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

وہی جس نے تمہارے لیے ہرے بھرے درخت سے آگ پیدا کر دی اور تم اس سے اپنے چُولہے روشن کرتے ہو۔1

  1.  یا تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اس نے ہرے بھرے درختوں میں وہ آتش گیر مادہ رکھا ہے جس کی بدولت تم لکڑیوں سے آگ جلاتے ہو۔ یا پھر یہ اشارہ ہے مرْخ اور عَفَار نامی ان دو درختوں کی طرف جن کی ہری بھری ٹہنیوں کو لے کر اہل عرب ایک دوسرے پر مارتے تھے تو ان سے آگ جھڑنے لگتی تھی۔ قدیم زمانہ میں عرب کے بدّو آگ جلانے کے لیے یہی چقماق استعمال کیا کرتے تھے اور ممکن ہے آج بھی کرتے ہوں۔
