منکرین لوگوں سے کہتے ہیں "ہم بتائیں تمہیں ایسا شخص جو خبر دیتا ہے کہ جب تمہارے جسم کا ذرہ ذرہ منتشر ہو چکا ہو گا اس وقت تم نئے سرے سے پیدا کر دیے جاؤ گے؟

اور یہ کافر کہتے ہیں : کیا ہم تمہیں ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں بتائیں جو تمہیں یہ خبر دیتا ہے کہ جب تم (مٹی میں مل کر) بالکل ریزہ ریزہ ہو جائو گے تو پھر تمہیں از سر ِنو پیدا کردیا جائے گا۔

Commentary
آیت 7{ وَقَالَ الَّذِیْنَ کَفَرُوْا ہَلْ نَدُلُّکُمْ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ یُّنَبِّئُکُمْ اِذَا مُزِّقْتُمْ کُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍلا اِنَّکُمْ لَفِیْ خَلْقٍ جَدِیْدٍ } ”اور یہ کافر کہتے ہیں : کیا ہم تمہیں ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں بتائیں جو تمہیں یہ خبر دیتا ہے کہ جب تم مٹی میں مل کر بالکل ریزہ ریزہ ہو جائو گے تو پھر تمہیں از سر ِنو پیدا کردیا جائے گا۔“ یہ اور اس کے بعد والی آیت اس لحاظ سے اہم ہیں کہ ان دونوں کے مضامین کا حوالہ آیت 46 کے ضمن میں بھی آئے گا۔ اگرچہ حضور ﷺ کی مخالفت نبوت کے ابتدائی زمانے سے ہی شروع ہوگئی تھی اور مشرکین اپنی محفلوں میں حضور ﷺ کے بارے میں استہزائیہ جملے بھی دہراتے رہتے تھے ‘ لیکن سات آٹھ سال تک وہ لوگ آپ ﷺ کے بارے میں مسلسل الجھن اور شش و پنج کا شکار رہے کہ یکایک آپ ﷺ میں یہ کیسی تبدیلی آگئی ہے ! اگلی آیت ان کی اس کیفیت کا واضح اظہار کر رہی ہے :
