Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اِن سے کہو”اگر میں نے تم سے کوئی اجر مانگا ہے تو وہ تم ہی کو مبارک رہے1۔ میرا اجر تو اللہ کے ذمّہ ہے اور وہ ہر چیز پر گواہ ہے۔2“

  1.  اصل الفاظ ہیں مَا سَاَلْتُکُمْ مِنْ اَجْر فَھُوَلکُمْ۔ اس کا ایک مطلب تو وہ ہے جو اوپر ہم نے ترجمہ میں بیان کیا ہے۔ اور دوسرا مطلب یہ بھی ہو سکتا ہے کہ تمہاری بھلائی کے سوا میں اور کچھ نہیں چاہتا، میرا جو بس یہی ہے کہ تم درست ہو جاؤ۔ اس مضمون کو دوسری جگہ قرآن مجید میں یوں ادا کیا گیا ہے : قُلْ مَآاَسْاَلُکُمْ عَلَیْہِ مِنْ اَجْر اِلَّا مَنْ سَآءَ اَنْ یَّتَّخِذَ اِلیٰ رَبِّہ سَبِیْلاً۔ (الفرقان 57) اے نبی، ان سے کہو میں اس کام پر تم سے کوئی اجر اس کے سوا نہیں مانگتا کہ جس کا جی چاہے وہ اپنے رب کا راستہ اختیار کر لے۔

  2.   یعنی الزام لگانے والے جو کچھ چاہیں الزام لگاتے رہیں، مگر اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے، وہ گواہ ہے کہ میں ایک بے غرض انسان ہوں، یہ کام اپنے کسی ذاتی مفاد کے لیے نہیں کر رہا ہوں۔

آپ ﷺ کہیے کہ اگر میں نے تم سے کچھ اجرت مانگی ہو تو وہ تمہارے ہی لیے ہے میرا ا جر تو اللہ ہی کے ذمہ ہے اور وہ ہرچیز پر گواہ ہے۔

Commentary

آیت 47 { قُلْ مَا سَاَلْتُکُمْ مِّنْ اَجْرٍ فَہُوَ لَکُمْ } ”آپ ﷺ کہیے کہ اگر میں نے تم سے کچھ اجرت مانگی ہو تو وہ تمہارے ہی لیے ہے۔“ یہ ایک ایسا اندازِ بیان ہے جس میں ”نفی“ کی گویا انتہا ہے کہ میں نے اس کام کے عوض اگر کوئی اجرت طلب کی ہو تو وہ تم ہی کو مبارک ہو ! میں دن رات دعوت کے اس کام میں ہمہ تن مصروف ہوں ‘ مگر میں اس پر تم لوگوں سے کسی قسم کی کوئی اُجرت ‘ کوئی معاوضہ اور کوئی صلہ طلب نہیں کرتا۔ تم لوگ اس کلام کو کبھی شاعری کہتے ہو اور کبھی پرانے زمانے کی کہانیوں سے تشبیہہ دیتے ہو۔ مگر تم نے کبھی یہ نہیں سوچا کہ شاعروں کی شاعری اور قصہ خوانوں کی کہانیوں کا مقصد کیا ہوتا ہے ؟ وہ لوگ تو اپنے سامعین کا دل بہلا کر اجرت کے لیے ہاتھ پھیلاتے ہیں اور اپنے کلام کی داد انعامات کی صورت میں وصول کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ کیا تمہیں مجھ میں اور ایسے پیشہ ور فنکاروں میں واقعی کچھ فرق نظر نہیں آتا ؟ { اِنْ اَجْرِیَ اِلَّا عَلَی اللّٰہِ وَہُوَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَیْئٍ شَہِیْدٌ} ”میرا ا جر تو اللہ ہی کے ذمہ ہے ‘ اور وہ ہرچیز پر گواہ ہے۔“
