  1. وَقَالُوْااور انہوں نے کہا
  2. نَحْنُہم
  3. اَكْثَرُزیادہ ہیں
  4. اَمْوَالًامال میں
  5. وَّاَوْلَادًا ۙاور اولاد میں
  6. وَّمَااور نہیں
  7. نَحْنُہم
  8. بِمُعَذَّبِیْنَعذاب دیے جانے والے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

انہوں نے ہمیشہ یہی کہا کہ ہم تم سے زیادہ مال اولاد رکھتے ہیں اور ہم ہرگز سزا پانے والے نہیں ہیں1

  1.  ان کا استدلال یہ تھا کہ ہم  تم سے زیادہ اللہ کے پیارے اور پسندیدہ لوگ ہیں، جبھی تو اس نے ہم کو ان نعمتوں سے نوازا ہے جن سے تم محروم ہو، یا کم از کم ہم سے فروتر ہو۔ اگر اللہ ہم سے راضی نہ ہوتا تو یہ سر و سامان اور یہ دولت و حشمت ہمیں کیوں دیتا۔ اب یہ بات ہم کیسے باور کر لیں کہ اللہ یہاں تو ہم پر نعمتوں کی بارش کر رہا ہے اور آخرت میں جا کر ہمیں عذاب دے گا۔ عذاب ہونا ہے تو ان پر ہونا ہے جو یہاں اس کی نوازشوں سے محروم ہیں۔ قرآن مجید میں دنیا پرستوں کی اس غلط فہمی کا بھی جگہ جگہ ذکر کر کے اس کی تردید کی گئی ہے۔ مثال کے طور پر حسب ذیل مقامات ملاحظہ ہوں: البقرہ، 126۔212۔التوبہ، 55۔69۔ہود، 3۔27۔۔الرعد، 26۔ الکہف، 34 تا 43۔ مریم، 73 تا 77۔ طٰہ، 131۔ المومنون، 55۔ 61۔ الشعراء، 111۔ القصص، 76تا83۔ الوم، 9۔ المدثر، 11 تا 26۔ الفجر 15تا 20۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اموال اور اولاد میں بڑھ کر ہیں اور ہمیں عذاب نہیں دیا جائے گا

Commentary

آیت 35 { وَقَالُوْا نَحْنُ اَکْثَرُ اَمْوَالًا وَّاَوْلَادًالا وَّمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِیْنَ } ”اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اموال اور اولاد میں بڑھ کر ہیں اور ہمیں عذاب نہیں دیا جائے گا۔“ اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے ہمیں دولت اور اولاد جیسی نعمتوں سے نوازا گیا ہے تو اس سے یہی ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ وہ ہم سے خوش ہے اور ہم اس کے منظورِ نظر ہیں۔ چناچہ جس طرح ہمیں دنیا میں خوشحالی حاصل ہے اسی طرح ہمیں آخرت میں بھی عیش کی زندگی ملے گی اور عذاب تو ہمیں بالکل بھی نہیں دیا جائے گا۔
