  1. یَسْـَٔلُكَپوچھتے ہیں آپ سے
  2. النَّاسُلوگ
  3. عَنِکے بارے میں
  4. السَّاعَةِ ؕقیامت کی
  5. قُلْکہہ دیجئے
  6. اِنَّمَابیشک
  7. عِلْمُهَاعلم اس کا
  8. عِنْدَپاس
  9. اللّٰهِ ؕاللہ کے
  10. وَمَااور کیا
  11. یُدْرِیْكَچیز بتائے تجھ کو
  12. لَعَلَّشاید کہ
  13. السَّاعَةَقیامت
  14. تَكُوْنُہو
  15. قَرِیْبًاقریب ہی

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

لوگ تم سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ قیامت کی گھڑی کب آئے گی1 کہو، اس کا علم تو للہ ہی کو ہے۔ تمہیں کیا خبر، شاید کہ وہ قریب ہی آ لگی ہو

  1. رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم سے یہ سوال عموماً کفار و منافقین کیا کرتے تھے۔ اور اس سے ان کا مقصد علم حاصل کرنا نہ تھا بلکہ وہ دِل لگی اور استہزاء کے طور پر یہ بات پوچھا کرتے تھے۔ دراصل ان کو آخرت کے آنے یقین نہ تھا۔ قیامت کے تصوّر کو وہ محض ایک خالی خولی دھمکی سمجھتے تھے۔ وہ قیامت کے آنے کی تاریخ اس لیے دریافت نہیں کرتے تھے کہ اس کے آنے سے پہلے وہ اپنے معاملات درست کر لینے کا ارادہ رکھتے ہوں ، بلکہ انکا اصل مطلب یہ ہوتا تھا کہ اے محمد(صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم) ہم نے تمہیں نیچا دکھانے کے لیے یہ کچھ کیا ہے اور آج تک تم ہمارا کچھ نہیں بگاڑ سکے ہو، اب ذرا ہمیں بتاؤ تو سہی کہ آخر وہ قیامت کب برپا ہو گی جب ہماری خبر لی جائے گی۔

Bayan-ul-Quran

(اے نبی ﷺ !) لوگ آپ سے قیامت کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہیں۔ کہہ دیجیے کہ اس کا علم تو اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے اور تمہیں کیا معلوم شاید کہ قیامت قریب ہی آچکی ہو

Commentary

آیت 63 { یَسْئَلُکَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَۃِ } ”اے نبی ﷺ ! لوگ آپ سے قیامت کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہیں۔“ { قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُہَا عِنْدَ اللّٰہِ } ”کہہ دیجیے کہ اس کا علم تو اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے۔“ { وَمَا یُدْرِیْکَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَۃَ تَـکُوْنُ قَرِیْبًا } ”اور تمہیں کیا معلوم ‘ شاید کہ قیامت قریب ہی آچکی ہو۔“
