  13. یُحِبُّپسند کرتا

  16. فَخُوْرٍفخر جتانے والے کو

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اور لوگوں سے منہ پھیر کر بات نہ کر1 ، نہ زمین میں اکڑ کر چل ، اللہ کسی خود پسند اور فخر جتانے والے شخص کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔2

  1. اصل الفاظ ہیں لَاتُصَعِّرْخَدَّکَ لِلنَّاسِ۔صَعَر عربی زبان میں ایک بیماری کو کہتے ہیں جو اونٹ کی گردن میں ہوتی ہے اور اس کی وجہ سے اُونٹ اپنا منہ ہر وقت ایک ہی طرف پھیرے رکھتا ہے ۔ اس سے محاورہ نِکلا فلان صعّر خدّہ،’’ فلاں شخص نے اونٹ کی طرح اپنا کلّا پھیر لیا ‘‘ یعنی تکبر کے ساتھ پیش آیا اور منہ پھیر کر بات کی۔ اسی کے متعلق قبیلۂ تغلب کا ایک شاعر عمرو بن حّی کہتا ہے ، وکنّا اذاالجبار صَعَّر خَدَّ   ٭  اقمنَا لہ من میْلہ فتقوّ مَا ہم ایسے تھے کہ جب کبھی کسی جبّار نے ہم سے بات کی تو ہم نے اس کی ٹیڑھ ایسی نکالی کہ وہ سیدھا ہو گیا۔‘‘

  2. اصل الفاظ ہیں مختال اور فخور۔مختال کے معنی ہیں وہ شخص جو اپنی دانست میں اپنے آپ کو بڑی چیز سمجھتا ہو۔ اور فخور اس کو کہتے ہیں جو اپنی بڑائی کا دوسروں پر اظہار کرے ۔ آدمی چال میں اکڑ اور اتراہٹ اور تبختر کی شان لازماً اسی وقت پیدا ہوتی ہے جب اس کے دماغ میں تکبر کی ہوا بھر جاتی ہے اور وہ چاہتا ہے کہ دوسروں کو اپنی بڑائی محسوس کرائے ۔

اور اپنے گالوں کو پھلا کر مت رکھو لوگوں کے سامنے اور زمین میں اکڑ کر مت چلو یقیناً اللہ ہر شیخی خورے تکبر کرنے والے کو پسند نہیں کرتا

Commentary

آیت 18 وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّکَ للنَّاسِ ”یعنی لوگوں سے بےرخی اور غرور وتکبر کی روش مت اختیار کرو۔اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَا یُحِبُّ کُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُوْرٍ ”لفظی اعتبار سے مُخْتَال کا تعلق خیل گھوڑے سے ہے۔ گھوڑے کی چال میں ایک خاص تمکنت اور غرور کا انداز پایا جاتا ہے۔ چناچہ جب انسان اپنی چال کے انداز میں گھوڑے کے سے غرور و تمکنت کا مظاہرہ کرتا ہے تو گویا وہ مُخْتَالبن جاتا ہے۔ یہی مضمون اس سے پہلے سورة بنی اسرائیل میں اس طرح بیان ہوا ہے : وَلاَ تَمْشِ فِی الْاَرْضِ مَرَحًاج اِنَّکَ لَنْ تَخْرِقَ الْاَرْضَ وَلَنْ تَبْلُغَ الْجِبَالَ طُوْلاً ”اور زمین میں اکڑ کر نہ چلو ‘ تم نہ تو زمین کو پھاڑ سکو گے اور نہ ہی پہنچ سکو گے پہاڑوں تک اونچائی میں“۔۔ اور اب آخری نصیحت :
