(اے نبیؐ)ان سے کہو کہ زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھو پہلے گُزرے ہوئے لوگوں کا کیا انجام ہو چکا ہے، ان میں اکثر مشرک ہی تھے۔1

یعنی روم و ایران کی تباہ کن جنگ آج کوئی نیا حادثہ نہیں ہے۔ پچھلی تاریخ بڑی بڑی قوموں کی تباہی و بربادی کے ریکارڈ سے بھری ہوئی ہے۔ اور ان سب قوموں کو جن خرابیوں نے برباد کیا اُن سب کی جڑ یہی شرک تھا جس سے باز آنے کے لیے آج تم سے کہا جا رہا ہے۔
