  1. وَقَالَتْاور کہا
  2. طَّآىِٕفَةٌایک گروہ نے
  3. مِّنْسے
  4. اَهْلِ(اہل)
  5. الْكِتٰبِکتاب (میں سے)
  6. اٰمِنُوْاایمان لے آؤ
  7. بِالَّذِیْۤساتھ اس چیز کے
  8. اُنْزِلَجونازل کی گئی
  9. عَلَیاوپر
  10. الَّذِیْنَان لوگوں کے
  11. اٰمَنُوْاجو ایمان لائے
  12. وَجْهَچہرہ
  13. النَّهَارِدن ( دن کے پہلے حصے میں۔ یعنی صبح کے وقت)
  14. وَاكْفُرُوْۤااور کفرکرو۔ انکار کردو
  15. اٰخِرَهٗاس کے آخری حصے میں۔ یعنی پچھلے پہر
  16. لَعَلَّهُمْتاکہ وہ
  17. یَرْجِعُوْنَلوٹ آئیں

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اہل کتاب میں سے ایک گروہ کہتا ہےکہ اس کےنبی کے ماننے والوں پر جو کچھ نازل ہوا ہے اس پر صحیح ایمان لاؤ اور شام کو اس سے انکار کردو، شاید اس ترکیب سے یہ لوگ اپنے ایمان سے پھر جائیں۔1

  1. یہ اُن چالوں میں سے ایک چال تھی جو اطرافِ مدینہ کے رہنے والے یہودیوں کے لیڈر اور مذہبی پیشوا اسلام کی دعوت کو کمزور کرنے کے لیے چلتے رہتے تھے۔ اُنہوں نے مسلمانوں کو بد دل کرنے اور ان نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عامّہٴ خلائق کو بدگمان کر نے کے لیے خفیہ طور پر آدمیوں کو تیار کر کے بھیجنا شروع کیا تا کہ پہلے علانیہ اسلام قبول کریں، پھر مرتد ہو جائیں ، پھر جگہ جگہ لوگوں میں یہ مشہور کرتے پھریں کہ ہم نے اسلام میں اور مسلمانوں میں اور ان کے پیغمبر میں یہ اور یہ خرابیاں دیکھی ہیں تب ہی تو ہم ان سے الگ ہو گئے۔
