Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

اے میرے بندو جو ایمان لائے ہو، میری زمین وسیع  ہے، پس تم میری ہی بندگی بجا لاؤ۔1

  1. یہ اشارہ ہے ہجرت کی طرف۔ مطلب یہ ہے کہ اگر مکے میں خدا کی بندگی کرنی مشکل ہو رہی ہے تو ملک چھوڑ کر نکل جاؤ، خدا کی زمین تنگ نہیں ہے۔ جہاں بھی تم خدا کے بندے بن کر رہ سکتے ہو وہاں چلے جاؤ۔ تم کو قوم و وطن کی نہیں بلکہ اپنے خدا کی بندگی کرنی چاہیے۔ اس سے معلوم ہوا کہ اصل چیز قوم، وطن اور ملک نہیں ہے بلکہ اللہ کی بندگی ہے۔ اگر کسی وقت قوم و وطن اور ملک کی محبت کے تقاضے اللہ کی بندگی کے تقاضوں سے ٹکرا جائیں تو وہی وقت مومن کے ایمان کی آزمائش کا ہوتا ہے۔ جو سچا مومن ہے وہ اللہ کی  بندگی کرے گا اور قوم ، وطن اور ملک کو لات مار دیگا۔ جو جھوٹا مدعی ایمان ہے وہ ایمان کو چھوڑ دیگا اور اپنی قوم اور اپنے ملک و وطن سے چمٹا رہے گا۔ یہ آیت اس باب میں بالکل صریح ہے کہ ایک سچا خدا پرست  انسان محبّ  قوم و وطن تو ہو سکتا ہے مگر قوم پرست اور وطن پرست نہیں ہو  سکتا ۔ اُس کے لیے خدا کی بندگی ہر چیز سے عزیز تر ہے جس پر دنیا کی ہر چیز کو وہ قربان کر دے گا  مگر اسے دنیا کی کسی چیز پر بھی قربان نہ کرے گا۔

اے میرے وہ بندو جو ایمان لائے ہو ! میری زمین بہت وسیع ہے پس عبادت تم میری ہی کرو

Commentary

آیت 56 یٰعِبَادِیَ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِنَّ اَرْضِیْ وَاسِعَۃٌ فَاِیَّایَ فَاعْبُدُوْنِ ”قرآن کے اس اسلوب کے بارے میں ایک نکتہ جو پہلے کئی بار دہرایا جا چکا ہے یہاں پھر ذہن میں تازہ کرلیں کہ مکی دور میں اہل ایمان سے براہ راست بہت کم خطاب کیا گیا ہے ‘ زیادہ تر انہیں نبی مکرم ﷺ کی وساطت سے ہی مخاطب کیا گیا ہے ‘ جبکہ یٰٓاَیُّھَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا کی اصطلاح صرف مدنی قرآن میں ملتی ہے۔یہاں پر یٰعِبَادِیَ کے طرز تخاطب میں بہت شفقت اور عنایت کا اظہار پایا جاتا ہے کہ اے میرے بندو ! اگر مجھ پر ایمان لانے کی پاداش میں مکہ کی سرزمین میں تمہارا قافیہ تنگ کردیا گیا ہے ‘ تمہارے لیے اگر یہاں رہنا محال ہوگیا ہے اور ان حالات کا مقابلہ کرنے کے لیے مزید ہمت تم لوگوں میں نہیں رہی تو اپنے اس شہر کو چھوڑ دو ‘ کہیں اور چلے جاؤ ‘ میری زمین بہت وسیع ہے۔ اس آیت میں ہجرت کی طرف راہنمائی ہے اور ہجرت حبشہ اسی حکم کی روشنی میں وقوع پذیر ہوئی تھی۔ اب اگلی آیت میں چوتھی ہدایت کا ذکر ہے :
