  1. قُلْکہہ دیجئے
  2. فَاْتُوْاپس لے آؤ
  3. بِكِتٰبٍکوئی کتاب
  4. مِّنْسے
  5. عِنْدِپاس (سے)
  6. اللّٰهِاللہ کے
  7. هُوَوہ
  8. اَهْدٰیزیادہ ہدایت بخشنے والی ہو
  9. مِنْهُمَاۤان دونوں سے
  10. اَتَّبِعْهُمیں پیروی کرلوں گا اس کی
  11. اِنْاگر
  12. كُنْتُمْہو تم
  13. صٰدِقِیْنَسچے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

(اے نبیؐ)اِن سے کہو”اچھا، تو لاوٴ اللہ کی طرف سے کوئی کتاب جو اِن دونوں سے زیادہ ہدایت بخشنے والی ہو اگر تم سچے ہو، میں اسی کی پیروی اختیار کروں گا۔“1

  1. یعنی تو مجھے تو ہدایت کی پیروی کرنی ہے ، بشرطیکہ  وہ کسی کی من گھڑت نہ ہو بلکہ خدا کی طر ف سے حقیقی ہدایت ہو۔ اگر تمہارے پاس کوئی کتاب اللہ موجود ہے  جو قرآن اور توراۃ سے بہتر رہنمائی کرتی ہو، تو اسے تم نے چھپا کیوں رکھا ہے؟ اسے سامنے لاؤ، میں بلا تامل اس کی پیروی قبول کر لوں گا۔
