  10. وَلَهٗاور اسی کے لئے ہے

  12. شَیْءٍ ؗچیز
  13. وَّاُمِرْتُاور مجھ کو حکم دیا گیا ہے
  14. اَنْکہ
  15. اَكُوْنَمیں ہوجاؤں
  16. مِنَسے
  17. الْمُسْلِمِیْنَمسلمانوں میں سے/ فرماں برداروں میں سے

Translation and commentary

Tafheem-ul-Quran

(اے محمدؐ ، اِن سے کہو)”مجھے تو یہی حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ اِس شہر کے ربّ کی بندگی کروں جس نے اِسے حرم بنایا ہے اور جو ہر چیز کا مالک ہے۔1 مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں مسلم بن کر رہوں

  1. یہ سورۃ چونکہ اس زمانے میں نازل ہوئی تھی جبکہ اسلام کی دعوت ابھی صرف مکہ معظمہ تک محدود تھی اور مخاطب صرف اس شہر کے لوگ تھے، اس لیے فرمایا”مجھے اِس شہر کے رب کی بندگی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے “۔اس کے ساتھ اس رب کی خصوصیت یہ بیان کی گئی کہ اس نے اسے حرم بنایا ہے ۔ اس سے کفار مکہ کو متنبہ کرنا مقصود ہے کہ جس خدا کا تم پر یہ احسان ِ عظیم ہے کہ اس نے عرب کی انتہائی بد امنی اور فساد و خونریزی سے لبریز سرزمین میں تمہارے اِس شہر کو امن کا گہوارہ بنا رکھا ہے ، اور جس کے فضل سے  تمہارا یہ شہر پورے ملک عرب کا مرکز عقیدت بنا ہوا ہے، تم اس کی ناشکری کرنا چاہو تو کرتے رہو، مگر مجھے تو یہی حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں اس کا شکر گزار بندہ بنوں اور اسی کے آگے سر نیا ز جھکاؤں۔ تم جنہیں معبود بنائے بیٹھے ہو ان میں سے کسی کی یہ طاقت نہ تھی کہ اس شہر کو حرم بنا دیتا اور عرب کے جنگجو اور غارت گر قبیلوں سے اس کا احترام کرا سکتا۔ میرے لیے تو یہ ممکن نہیں ہے کہ اصل محسن کو چھوڑ کر اُن کے آگے جھکوں جن کا کوئی ذرہ برابر بھی احسان مجھ پر نہیں ہے۔

(دیکھو !) مجھے تو یہی حکم ہوا ہے کہ میں بندگی کروں اس شہر کے رب کی جس نے اسے محترم قرار دیا ہے اور اسی کے اختیار میں ہے ہرچیز اور مجھے حکم ہوا ہے کہ میں شامل ہوجاؤں اس کے فرمانبردار بندوں میں

Commentary

آیت 91 اِنَّمَآ اُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَعْبُدَ رَبَّ ہٰذِہِ الْبَلْدَۃِ الَّذِیْ حَرَّمَہَا ”ان آخری آیات کا انداز ایک اعلان کا سا ہے۔ اگرچہ اس اعلان کا آغاز لفظ ”قُلْ“ سے نہیں ہو رہا لیکن انداز یہی ہے کہ اے نبی ﷺ ! آپ ڈنکے کی چوٹ یہ اعلان کردیجیے۔ آپ ان پر واضح کردیجیے کہ میں کسی بت ‘ کسی دیوی یا کسی دیوتا کی پرستش کی بجائے صرف اس رب کی بندگی کرتا ہوں اور اسی کی بندگی کرتا رہوں گا جس نے بیت اللہ کو حرم ٹھہرایا ہے اور اس شہر کی سر زمین کو محترم قرار دیا ہے۔
