  3. فَاِذَاتو اچانک

  5. ثُعْبَانٌاژدھا تھا

(اس کی زبان سے یہ بات نکلتے ہی)موسیٰؑ نے اپنا عصا پھینکا اور یکایک وہ ایک صریح اژدہا تھا۔1

  1.  قرآن مجید میں کسی جگہ اس کے لیے حَیَّۃٌ  (سانپ) اور کسی جگہ جَآن (جو بالعموم چھوٹے سانپ کے لیے بولا جاتا ہے ) کے الفاظ استعمال ہوئے ہیں ، اور یہاں اسے ثُعْبَانٌ  (اژدہا) کہا جا رہا ہے۔ اس کی توجیہ امام رازی اس طرح کرتے ہیں کہ : حَیَّۃٌ  عربی زان میں سانپ کی جنس کے لیے مشترک نام ہے ، خواہ چھوٹا ہو یا بڑا۔ اور ثُعْبَانٌ  کا لفظ اس لیے استعمال کیا گیا کہ جسامت کے اعتبار سے وہ اژدھے کی طرح تھا۔ اور جَانّ کا لفظ اس بنا پر استعمال کیا گیا کہ اس کی پھرتی اور تیزی چھوٹے سانپ جیسی تھی۔
