Commentary
آیت 22 وَتِلْکَ نِعْمَۃٌ تَمُنُّہَا عَلَیَّ اَنْ عَبَّدْتَّ بَنِیْٓ اِسْرَآءِ یْلَ ”ان الفاظ کے تیور بتا رہے ہیں کہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام فرعون کو ترکی بہ ترکی جواب دے رہے تھے کہ اپنے محل میں ایک اسرائیلی بچے کی پرورش کرنے کا تمہارا احسان کیا تمہیں یہ جواز فراہم کرتا ہے کہ تم پوری بنی اسرائیل قوم کو اپنا غلام بنائے رکھو ؟ میری پرورش کرنے کا کارنامہ تو تمہیں بر وقت یاد آگیا لیکن میری قوم کو جو تم نے غلامی کی زنجیروں میں جکڑرکھا ہے ‘ اس کا کوئی تذکرہ تم نے نہیں کیا۔ یہاں عَبَّدْتَّٰکا لفظ لائق توجہ ہے۔ ”تَعْبِید“ کے معنی کسی کو غلام اور فرمانبردار بنا لینے کے ہیں۔ اسی سیاق وسباق میں ایک دوسری جگہ فرعون کا یہ فقرہ اس لفظ ‘ کے مفہوم کو مزید واضح کرتا ہے : وَقَوْمُہُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوْنَ المؤمنون ”اور ان دونوں کی قوم تو ہماری غلام ہے !“
